You can use any race, I just thought that Redguards fit the vibe. Their racial works pretty well for it too. What race did you have in mind?

I haven't played the build yet and have another build in mind of playing but is using an unenchanted stave in the off hand actually good? Does it slowly become weak the later you get into the game or does it last throughout all the levels?

You can't attack with it, only defend. And as a substitute for a shield, you're only using it to take advantage of Quick Reflexes and is augmented by Slow Time. So it's viable to the end in that aspect.

The trick with the staff is pretty cool Alastor. How did you discover it? I think this would be an awesome build to see a video demonstration of. 

Whoops! I thought this was a reply to my Transient Sorcerer. For the Oracle, bashing with a stave is definitely effective the entire playthrough. Only problem is sometimes you get a normal bash and other times you'll get insanely fast jabs that deal the damage of your fist! Since the mechanic requires you to have Stamina I like to start the battle by trying to completely destroy opponents by running up and bashing like crazy. If you run out of Stamina back off and bob and weave with your fist until Stamina regens and try again! It's definitely deadly. I've put down draugr Deathlords on Master with it! The strength of those staff jabs are dependent on your unarmed damage though. So long as you invest in unarmed damage it'll be a great source of damage.

I've always wanted to utilize an unenchanted stave so I messed around with them quite a bit. I found this trick while bashing with a sword but dismissed it due to being unreliable. When I revisited the exploit for this build it seemed to happen frequently coupled with unarmed and became deadly! This build wouldn't have come together without that discovery. I would love to demonstrate it but just don't have the recording equipment. PC players are best optimized for that but the exploit doesn't seem to work for them so I guess we're out of luck for now. Maybe I'll have the means to demonstrate it in the future but thanks for the props :) are you able to try it yourself? Or are you PC?

I just wanted to say that I tried this with a sword instead of unarmed and it worked fine. It could potentially be a way to use underpowered weapons, I guess. A regular bash probably happened 1/10 bashes or so.

That's about how often it happened for me too. Glad to see someone get similar results :) was it pretty rapid with a sword too? I wondered whether unarmed would be faster due to swing speed or not. I don't think it has an effect here though. Thanks for the input Tim!

No it seemed about the same speed. I was using a Dragonbone Sword though.
