John, what's your total magicka after drinking the potions?
It should be 168 if you've added any points to magicka it won't work. If your'e on PC running any resto fixes it won't work either.

Yeah, I think it's actually the wisps that cause the problem (not the mothers).
Lickily they're one of the rarest creatures, just nuke with fireballs...

Mason, I watched with interest the "making of Seraphim" and was wondering whether you could offer assistance with regard to the AR theory mentioned in the video, when the enemy is encased in ice, and would the Mace;s bone breaker perks "do the business. I would be willing to invest the time to test this theory but am not sure where to begin. Regards

I haven't added any points to magic. But I am showing 235 in magicka (and it's green). I've removed all gear and no gear is enchanted at all (Dawnguard armor) so not sure what buffed it up. Nothing showing on the personal effects either. Under the Warrior stone.
I have a prior save on this character I'm at 210 magicka with the Atronach Stone. Guess I'm screwed on this one.
My other character I was trying this build: I'm at 100 magic BEFORE doing the stone so no buffs at all. So this one SHOULD work.
I drink a 40% then a 30% then another 40% Fortify Restoration potion. (These are PC added as I haven't found any called a Draught or Philter at level 30). After drinking the three potions, in that order, and then clicking the stone I show a 150 magicka rating...not 168.
Just in case, I also tried the other guys suggestion where I reversed the order of potions: drinking a 30 then 40 then a 30. Again shows 150 magicka.
And another posted suggested the higher level potions (40% and 50% buffs). Doing the 40/50/40 order, again 150 magicka. Doing the reverse: 50/40/50; again goes from 100 to 150 magicka.
Do you know if the Unofficial Skyrim Patch blocks this? That's the only other thing I can think of.

OK, to confuse me further...
I created another character. Level 1. I left Helgen, ran to Whiterun, rode the carriage to Windhelm and ran to the Stone.
Took the 30/40/30% potions (Fortify Restoration), clicked on the stone. Magicka went from 100 to 150.
Tried again, taking the 40/30/40 + stone. Magicka from 100 to 150.
It appears only the LAST potion is buffing my stats to click the stone and not stacking but not sure.
