Playing through the build right now. Died a few times until I realised how crucial stealth and agility is to the build. I really like the contrast between the calculated stealth strikes and the frantic nature should you get spotted. I haven't quite gotten Quiet Casting yet but Whirlwind Sprint has gotten me out of a few jams already. I suppose the only thing that I've noticed is how much I use potions at the moment for healing. Mostly just as I get settled with the build or when dragons show up.

seing that this character uses illusion is it out of the question to use calm spells  as well as fury/fear spells? i mean not to an obsceine ammount just used sparingly of course. +1 from me im goina try this build as soon as i fire up the good ole Ps3

Up to you, I'm not much of a fan of either of those but if you think they'd help you go right ahead

Is the 180 magika enough to be able to cast adept level illusion spells?

180+ the galudar amulet+ the leveled 32+ nightingale armor bonus of 15% illusion reduction cowl my nightengale does fine with fury spells and using em Dual casted works good for higher mobs but i do have problembs with falmer nightstalkers or whatever their names are lol but as far as adept spells you shouldent have a problemb casting a few spells before you run out

Hey Ponty, this was a great build! +1 from me, you should do a Nightingale Archer next, or one of each of the agents of Nocturnal. looking forward to new builds!

I returned to skyrim and tried many builds, but in the end I loaded up my level 24 nightingale swordsman. It's the most fun I've had with any character as far as I can remember.

If you are on PC, the mods Balanced MagicApocalypse Spell Package, and Upgrade Leveled Items Spell are great for this build. The first one lets illusion spells scale in strength with level among other things, the second adds some great illusion spells such as "Bend Shadows" which is a projectile spell that when it hits a target you teleport behind that target. The last one allows you to get your nightingale gear whenever you feel like and upgrade it as you level up.
