have been playing this build and finally have all my gear and major skills, however i've run into a few issues. Firstly, a base of 180 magic is not enough to DUAL cast a frenzy spell. normally this wouldn't matter as a frenzy spell is powerful in itself, however certain enemies do not respond, like the falmer, AT ALL. im assuming a dual cast would work. I've dual casted apprentice lvl spells (calm, fury)  to no avail (even some bandits do not respond :(  ), and this is includes me maxing out the right side of the spell tree, up to quiet casting.  The criteria does not mention themiddle of the illusion tree which i feel i may need to level, the middle upgrades calm, frenzy and fear spells cumulative with animage and such.

Note how I say Fury in the build, not Frenzy... Fury is the novice level one

i understand, and was using fury early on. Frenzy is an adept lvl. spell that does not work on a surprising amount of enemies. No falmer and many bandit marauders.  dual casted fury does nothing on such foes. forgive me, but I guess im missing your point. Im guess im saying i would expect frenzy, 180 base magic and adept skill to work since that was the criterion for the build

Bandit Marauders are level 25 enemies. Dual cast Fury with Kindred Mage affects all people up to level 35. Check out this page for breakdown on affected levels. With the Rage perk your dual casted Fury spell will affect all not immune creatures up to level 39, which is higher than all but the most powerful Falmer Warmonger added by Dawnguard DLC (link).

    Edit: And melee Shadowmasters

Why don't you go and read the build again... it says Apprentice level!

Your Nightingale set reduces spell costs of Illusion spells, so cost shouldn't be an issue if you use Illusion in moderation!

You're missing the point of the build anyway - you don't need to fury EVERYTHING, if you just fury all the weaker guys to kill each other and weaken the boss that's fine, and if the boss is on their own you're pretty much a master of 1v1 anyway.

This is exactly what i was looking for for my new character. I do have one question. at what level would you say is good to get the nightingale gear.

    From the Equipment section:

"Nightingale equipment is leveled, so select a version based on what level you plan on playing to!"

Where does it say illusion spells are 25% more powerful? It says wearing the full set gives 25 armor rating, but I can't find anything about increased illusion power.

I always thought it's just cost reduction.
