Heh, I honestly can't remember how I dealt with that frost troll.  I probably either had a ton of arrows or just ran like hell!

There are few methods to deal with that troll. When you approach the troll you can see him up on the cliff. As an archer you can sneak – snipe him, hiding behind pile of rock on the Right side of the trail. Troll will stay up on the cliff. You can also get closer he will jump down and you scale up the small hill on the Left, and shoot from that position. As a close combat warrior I usually summon flame atronach or S.rose Daedra to get few free hits and bring the troll down. We can also avoid troll all together by riding straight a “free” horse, easily out run the beast. On foot I might just run off the trail to the Left, jjump around the hill and get onto the trail close to emblem shrine. The troll stays behind.

It is a great idea for an archery build. Great and thoughtful job Paul.

I am playing now on Master, as a Redguard. I did few dungeons, I’m considering to go to fort Downguard, where Isran gives me a crossbow and tells me pick up what I need.  To deal with vampires and theirs fast dogs, I need more bolts. In my previous run with this build, the steel crossbow with ~ 100 steel bolts was essential to survive dimhollow crypt. That allows me later to meet / help another (moth) monk or hermit Knight-Paladin Gelebor. I reserve crossbow to boss or difficult fights, due to scarcity of expensive, for this build, bolts.

Good points.  I never tried crossbows with this guy as they seemed to depart from the "Zen archer" aesthetic, but I like your approach to using them in a limited way - and, of course, you're given one upon visiting Fort Dawnguard.

I also never played on Master, so kudos there.  I'd think it would be pretty challenging, dealing with the decreased damage output.

This is the first build that made me do something I always thought was kinda strange.

Plan how to deal with dungeons, quests, etcetera. Before, I always had more bottles of healing potion than a man could possibly carry and enough arrows to drown my enemies, so it was easy to rush in, kill everything while chugging those potions, and come back with tons of loot.

Not only does my character have to plan ahead - make some elemental resistance potions, look for vantage points, scout to see what kind of enemies I'll find - she also has to remember that after clearing the place, she's basically no better off than before. No looting means that she's not richer, has fewer potions and arrows, is probably wounded, and still has to walk back to a city through bear infested valleys.

I haven't restricted myself as much as you had, though. She doesn't consider looting anything from the undead evil, but will not take what she doesn't need, and won't desecrate the bodies. So no bone meal, shields, miscellaneous items, etc, but if the target was undead, she could for example take some arrows (I tried not to carry more than 100 - about two quivers of them). Not food though, it's been on a dead body for god-knows how long and will probably make her ill.

Anyway, I'm digressing a lot. Thanks for the amazing build, it made for one hell of a playthrough and it never got boring.

Great build! Another quest you could highlight that fits very well (I don't remember it being mentioned, but perhaps you did >.>) is a small quest in the white run hall of dead.

Very interesting concept, thinking about running this one next. Couple of gray area questions, what do you guys thing about these?
If you get a follower, can you trade with them and take their stuff?
If someone asks you to deliver something to someone, is it wrong to hold off on delivery for a while and use the thing yourself?
There's one quest where you have to steal wine for a bum, but if you raise the innkeeper's disposition it's not stealing. What's the verdict there?
I think I'm leaning no, no, and it's cool, but curious what others thought

I think I'm going to play this as an argonian O.o and I'm going to try to find the details of staff combat (If I recall, there was a build focusing on the concept of using them in a fashion similar to shield bash..) See what I can churn out. This build has given me some very interesting ideas. I also may take the aetherial crown as part of mg project to learn how you can stack stones. So far I've learned its possible to get at least three standing stones at once, and I've heard of 4.

I'm not having much arrow management difficulties O.o I donated 500 arrows to Talos and 300 coins to shrines of arkay (neatly deposited in the most nearby chest :3) haven't picked anything up including my own arrows, and I have 250 steel, 400 iron

Something you may want to consider in your fluff:

"Though the Redguards abhor necromancy, their religion has also led them to abhor any sort of interaction with the undead. Tradition bound them not to fight the honored dead, making them particularly vulnerable to necromancers and undead creatures. However, the Ash'abah are a tribe of Redguards who have made it their duty to purify mausoleums and destroy the undead wherever they may be found. As a result, they have been shunned from Redguard society, and are exiled to live as nomads in the wastes. Their existence is nevertheless tolerated due to the necessity of their role."

So, the cult or order of Redguard Draugr killers you're thinking of has a name - the Ash'abah.

Great build, but do you mind if I make a blog of playing with it? I'll give you credit and post a link to the build.
