Thanks, I tried going with robes or light armor on legendary with heavy gauntlets boots, and helmets, had to switch to expert when fighting giants and dragons and the like after dying a lot. This is my fav build from you.

It's a slightly messy character sometimes, I wanted crossbows, I wanted shields, a multitude of spells, potions, undead, atronachs... the list of things he can do in any situation gets a little exhausting and often feels like it lacks focus...

    He's just good fun...

    I know the feeling Mason...

I liked the look before, but now I see it again, I feel there are some more looks with robes/armor that would be awsome.

Came up with Nakriin/Steel + Master robes/archmage robes (for a lichy feel)

On a side note: is there a alchemy effect that boosts the rune axe?

    Thanks in advance,

    Remy

Dawnguard Rune Axe is tightly scripted i'm afraid...

I tested every potion combo I could think of and nothing seemed to boost its effects...

It's still a hugely powerful weapon though, tears through draugr very quick and that ability to instantly smash wards comes in handy more times than you may think, all warlocks tend to throw up wards the second you close in to melee them and just get shatter-locked to death...

Thanks  And holy shatter-lock, ever feared mages? not anymore

And I do know of the power, I used it myself aswel! (thanks to this page i ached to try it.) The one thing that does keep bugging me: it should do the damage number of undead killed to al targets (x3 vs undead) but I just cant seem to notice. Ah wel, it is still a very good weopon.

When you strike a target directly you're getting the physical and sun damage in one hit, undead that are standing close will also take a splash of sun damage...

It works but only lesser undead are going to perish quickly, stack on a boosted Stendaars Aura though and pretty much everything is getting vaporized...

I did not know about the splash damage. Handy!

It is just that wikia led me to believe it was the same sun effect as dawnbreaker. AKA:

10 sun damage to all, but 30 to undead. Only with the counter acting as number... Wil retest that some day.

Anyways, thanks for your time Mason.

Really cool build and awesome presentation. I always like darker gothic themed builds +1.

I was also working on a like minded heretic build. Guess i have to find a new name =D.

Wow, great build mason, I was recently looking for a vampire hunter build that's set apart from the rest and I just found it. One question how'd you kill undead then get to a forge in time to upgrade your rune axe?

    Thanks Lightpire...

I've never really figured out the exact workings of the Runeaxe, it's never reset on me once...

Usually I'll return from the quest to collect it and toss an ingot at it in Fort Dawnguard, after that it just never seems to reset...mine has undead kills close to 1000 I think...

My only assumption is that improving it at a forge once removes the 'reset' feature of the weapon forever OR the reset feature never even existed in the first place...
