Those 3 always confuse me.  Shadowcloak of Nocturnal is pretty self explanatory, but nightengale Strife/Subterfuge always get switched around in my head.

Dunmer come with bonuses to most of the skills, which is good, and bad, depending on how high you want to level.  i believe this is pushing 50 anyway, more skill bonuses means less levels to max out, so less perk points once they cap, and you start over at legendary.  In the early game, however, this means less training for Sneak, illusion, Light Armor...  No Weapon Skills also means low damage early on, but all my Nightblades use Calm to train stealth, and 1H with backstabs, anyway.

Too OP is a matter of opinion, but I don't see WS as a good fit, because this is a Nightingale Swordsman, not a Dark Brotherhood Assassin.  The Nightingale Blade is a perfect fit, obviously.  There's no reason not to use WS as well, if you like, but it's going to be pretty hard to beat that, even with the most unfair weapon in the game.

    The reason it's too OP:

    • This character's only offense is melee attacks
    • Every melee attack from that weapon staggers an enemy
    • Your only offense staggers enemies no matter what
    • You have no reason to block
    • Welcome to skilltown, population: not you

Oh, I'm familiar with Windshear, and all the abuses I've come up with for it.  I guess what you're saying it that it would make pretty much everything you built in obsolete, and completely break it, or something like that?  I agree, but as for the Scimmy being OP, I still think that's debatable.  There's plenty in the game at least as much so, and they're used regularly on most of these builds.  Totally wrong for this one, though.  Out of character, clashes with the style, and would rapidly take out all the fun you built in.

That is where he borrowed the name as it functions pretty much exactly the same.

Hey ponty I think that after level 30 ish with an epic blades sword and esquisite nightingale blade things get a tiny bit boring. Even on legendary I was murking.

I believe what he meant was because you wrote ' and a destruction ring for increased charges on the nightingale blade' he thought that augmentation perks would increase the magnitude since enchantments reduce the cost.

Yes, Absorb Stamina counts as Frost, and Absorb Health Fire for the purposes of perks/enchantments that affect those elements.  Absorb/Damage Magicka are "Shock" affects as well, but Fortify Destruction only affects the charge consumed by any damaging weapon Enchantment (Meaning most of them except Soul Trap, Banish, and Paralyze.)
