That is really cool, I'm glad you were able to use this. I haven't been on this site in a long time and I'm planning on starting back in on Skyrim. I love you're carriage idea and I will definitely use that in my next playthrough.

Would you say there are limits on how many schools of magic a mage can realistically master (i.e., dump a lot of perks into?

Sorry I'm a few days late to this, mitch.

If we look at lore, it seems very rare to have someone even master one school. Look at the professors at the College of Winterhold, they spend literally all day every day working on their magc and are only close to mastering one school. But if we're talking more gameplay (which I assume we're not given the group?), two seems about right for me. There'll always be one school you use the most, and one you use to supplement it (ie Conjuration and Destruction, or Alteration and Restoration etc).

But if we go into the more complex stuff, like vampirism and immortalitym, ir gets a little more complex. If you're playing a vampire mage whos been around since the First Era, it isn't unreasonable to assume they've mastered multiple schools, but of course that comes at a price.

I'd recommend going to the Lore group if you want to know more about magical masters in Tamriel's past, might give you more of an idea of what's attainable.
