...tempting. Very much tempting. I still have fifteen or twenty first-draft chapters that could do with rewriting, that I recently reread and really liked a lot of.

Hey, I’m going to drop out for this month. Just won’t have the time to dedicate to writing while I’m at my parents’ house, and my tablet’s keyboard’s acting up, and making the process super painful when I do get time. See you all next time.

Hey, you know what's never going to ----ing happen if I don't somehow kick myself into gear? Writing! So sign me up or I'll never actually get around to any writing. Username is soly.

I wasn't planning on doing much writing because the story I'm working on is already spiralling out of control as it is... but according to a certain Lorc I can count the editing work I'm doing for him, so can I join the Cabin? Username's Harrow, same as always... Can I? Can I? Pweeaaasssee?

And you already know what cuddly creature I am...

Am I cute? Am I cute? Myyaaaawww~ Give me cuddles~

Of course cuddly kitty can join! *gives snuggles and cuddles*

Well, with Camp NaNo drawing to a close, I'm happy to report that most everyone achieved their words counts. Go TEAM TV! I didn't, but we all know that your environment plays a huge part in your productivity and my environment has not been the best in the past weak. I miss my man, the house I'm house-sitting for is muggy and hot, and my ankles were swollen pretty bad after the move. I can say that I'm proud though, all of my words were eventually published as both chapters in Straag and my new story, The Sword.

    How did everyone else do?

Next up is the main event in November, NaNoWriMo, which is 50k of new material in a month and... I may go legit with this this year, usually I only edit, but this year, I think new material. I foresee The Sword being completed by then and to be making headway in Straag, so possibly another tale for Path of the Aprax.

I want to say congratulations to all who participated, I don't think we beat our prior word count, but that's okay, I take full responsibility for that. Ultimately word count doesn't matter, so long as you write something and you all did a wonderful job!

    Thanks, Liss!

This event made me realize I can reach 10K words within a few days and without rushing, (which is 3-4 chapters in total or so) I learned this in April's Camp NaNo. It's really a big achievement for me. I think I did okay, given there were hot days, too.

Not sure if I can join in November event. 50K sounds a lot esp. if it have to be new stuff. Hmm, I have though few ideas to work with like my Orc's story, or Sarade's, but I prefer to work with Ciel's story atm.

In any case, these events are fun! :)

    Good job, guys!

We just found out we are NOT having to move across the world this fall, so I will hopefully be able to do November. I gave up about a week ago and asked my husband to bring my giant laptop to NC because my ipad keyboard's shift button is about to bite it. Can't capitalize anything, it's obnoxious.

Well, I'll tell you, I wrote 40k of new material for this one. It's not hard if you don't try to do it quickly. Like if I had not gotten waylaid by my move and swollen ankles this Camp, I would've had about 50k, but I didn't write everyday. I also took the whole month, which I think is the key to the endurance you need for the November event. A lot of people start off very strong, get high word counts in and then fizzle out by the 15th or so. It pretty much takes writing the entire month consistently and with lower daily word counts to last the whole month. Like a marathon runner versus a sprinter. Different kind of endurance.

And I agree, they are fun.

Yeah, I'm really proud of everyone.

And yay on not moving across the world! Would be great to have you around in Novemeber. Ha, yeah, I'm desparate to play my ps4 again. Haven't had it since last Thursday or so. *sulks*
