Recently I have decided to start writing a Fallout story during the breaks I take after the end of each part of Bound in Blood. I searched the Story Corner and found out that the only real competition is Teineeva's Streets of Boston. What I wanted to ask is why aren't more Fallout stories out there? The world of Fallout is just as amazing as the world of the Elder Scrolls.

I wrote one...not sure where it went to I think it was posted under my blog. I agre though we need more Fallout stories! I have been so busy with builds and events I have not had much time for writing. Hopefully that will change soon. I look forward to reading whatever you produce though!

We definetly need more Fallout stories. Also, I already posted the ToC for my story.

I've written a few short stories for TES and FO and, generally speaking, I've enjoyed TES more because of the interpretation of the world it allows. Ten base races, more than twice as many religions, magic, global politics, and so on. One only has to look as far as Karver's Practice of Magic to see what kind of stories can be born from interpretation. The main obstacle I've faced when trying to find inspiration in FO is that so much of the world is familiar or established that there aren't many gaps left to fill. Guns are the main means of combat, but the mechanics of firearm operation isn't interpretive. In a world like TES where lore is contradictory with solid arguments for multiple interpretations, there's a lot to play with. I think Fallout is an amazing world, but it's harder to parse out the areas with genuine intrigue. Fallout stories likely have to be approached from a different angle then TES stories. How that approach looks, I don't know. I've been trying to figure it out but haven't had much luck. It's frustrating, because I would like to write more Fallout, but can't seem to hook into anything.

My old story, Homunculize, is out there. There's about 35 pages of it on the site right now. But it's old, inconsistent in quality, and I haven't written on it in a long time. However, I am kind of rebuilding it this Camp NaNo, so hopefully there will be some more coming out.

I wrote one too, I just lost interest. Not in Fallout just in writing in general. I feel like I could write some more now though.
