It's the editing that's dragged me back so I know exactly where you stand here.

I had to make a similar decision. I went with a rough edit, taking out the worst of the mistakes so I can catch up and write new chapters. there are so many things Iwant to add.

    The rebelion,

Morrowind, (various plots and trips to Morrowind. One including the Twin Lamps)

Finish the Rebelion (It's in two halves)

    Deal with Alduin

    DawnGuard

    Sort out Red

    Mirrak

    Skjor

Cyrodiil Mermaids..... (Haha  don't ask its a secret)

    Pirates

    The Black Argonian......

So much to write but before I can do any of this I need to get the chapters I have written posted so readers can follow. I've still got lots to work on and one day I'll come back and edit them so they are where I want them to be. I just need these up so I can write new content. there's so much to do before TESVI comes out.

Here's the first paragraph from part 2 of my new series! I'm trying to make Avarain less of a clear-cut hero than Ardolan was. Hope you like!

Hmmm sort of reminds me of the german in Django.

"One one hand I am opposed to slavery but on the other it serves my purpose". Or something like that.

When can we expect to see more Tenebrous?

@Sotek He's a unique character: He respects Argonians, and doesn't want them enslaved, but at the same time rather dislikes them for their alien nature. I dunno when the next chapter will be up, but hopefully it'll be soon.

    Looking forwards to it..........

    Howling about the next chapers...

My next chapter which will be posted tomorrow night will be my 250th chapter not including the nine Bloodmoon rising Chapters and the single Blessing of the Beast chapter. (I have to write more of these.... so much to get on with).

I'll have to workout the word count.....

Avarain Hlel was, by all accounts, a rather unique Dunmer. The Hlel family was once a major player in the noble Great House Dres of the land of Morrowind, which is historically known to have been highly involved in the slave trade throughout said province. Indeed, both official records from the Era and Avarain's own journals reveal the Hlel family was responsible for managing the slaves in the entire Stonefalls region, and were therefore quite high in the Dres hierarchy. They were opposed to the Ebonheart Pact freeing the Argonians for this reason. However, despite this, and despite his own admitted dislike of the reptilian beastfolk, Avarain himself was a defender of their right to freedom. He wrote in his journal: “Though the lizard-men of the swamps are brutish, and honestly alien to most civilized races, it is obvious through their service to the Pact that they know loyalty and bravery. To continue enslaving our stalwart allies is clearly a mistake; they have more than earned to be free from our bonds.”

I like the sound of Avarain; he's a bit like me. While I don't believe Argonians should be enslaved, I tend to keep my distance and make jokes at their expense.

Except for Sotek. He's my one exception to the rule.

    What're Avarain's goals?

@Legion Avarain is my attempt at a more nuanced character, one that will actually change from his experiences. His goals are initially personal glory, to be remembered as a hero, and helping the Dunmer take the throne and guide the other races, who while not necessarily lesser in his eyes, aren't the ideal. In that sense, he's actually a hell of a lot like Dagoth Ur, despite being a hero. I'm rather proud of the concept.

Interesting. So this may be a stupid question, but how exactly do these gameplay stories work? Or, how do you approach them? I'm not sure if you've noticed, but about 90% of what I've written has been short stories. So the concept is foreign to me in practice.

@Legion Ho boy. I follow the in-game events only moderately closely. Like, I change some stuff, or remove some objectives, or shift some dialogue around, but the events all generally still happen. When I started, I followed them more closely, but Wing opened my eyes to the fact that a lot of readers already know what happens in-game. It's also why I add my own events that don't happen in-game.

I like it, it's like a marraige between role-play and story telling. Do you have a conclusion in mind or do you pretty much wing it?

@Legion A bit of both, actually. The story more or less ends when the quest line does, so for example Avarain's tale ends after the Pact quests are done. However, a hearty chunk of stuff in previous stories was put in as it occurred to me; for example, I didn't know Ardolan would be gender-swapped until I wrote it down. I'm a bit weird like that.
