    I love redguards.

Haha, same. When I'm in a gameplay/tactics mood I tend to lean towards Altmer, but now that I'm trying to work more on roleplay I find myself doing more and more Redguard builds. Lol.

I love the way you've pulled together a handful of key spells that really go well with the concept.

Yea man, tactics are my jam. Lol.

This is one of the best redguard builds I've seen.

Holy shit, really? Thanks! You have no idea what high praise that is for one of my attempts at a roleplay heavy build...especially on this site!

In fact, I'd recommend having at least one aspect of this characters roleplay that you invest enough in early game that it will show true sacrifice when you give it up entirely later on.

    Now that's a challenge. :)

Haha, yea... especially when you realize that all her attempts at true sacrifice ring hollow since she's orchestrating those situations fire personal gain. The Book of Sacrifice is the most important tenant in her journey, and it's really only completed at the very end when she decides to return to Hammerfell and use her life to create a final Ansei Ward. You can thank Zon for encouraging that bit of character development, he's a genius.

This seems like a really interesting build. One question, will destruction keep levelling with the scribe/powerattack thing?

Also, its really tempting to create a warrior type using some of those same techniques. Dual wield sword/dagger, maybe light armor or clothing with alteration. I used an imperious redguard for the first time the other day and just enjoy running everywhere hehe.

Yes, it levels destruction just as casting the spell would. Though between requiring a power attack to activate, and having a brief cooldown, experience gain is a little slow. So plan to perk destruction less than half as much as one handed. I like the warrior idea, direct combat was really fun and surprisingly viable for a build with stealth based stats so a warrior would be more than suited for these mechanics. One fun thing I discovered with Spellscribe that I haven't gotten to use in a build yet is that you can use it to cast spells from horseback so a mystic Knight might be a really fun character to play around with. Or, if you want to be pure magic you can use a shiv because it looks like a wand when casting spells and will allow you to cast spells from horseback.

This is a fantastic, fleshed-out build!

I was actually putting together a mod list for an archaeologist/Ansei Walkabout character when I found this: I would have never thought of these mechanics/mod combos to bring the Shehai to life. I love that Sword-Singer lore can be (maybe loosely) connected to the Dwemer's Tonal Architecture and the Thu'um, and I wanted a character that was on a quest to learn about these fundamental connections (which pretty much just gives me an excuse to explore every nook and cranny in TESV/quest mods while being a slick, nomadic Redguard). As fun as nightblades are to play they can feel kind of overdone or OP at times; I like that you incorporated lore-friendly limits, milestones, and unique character intentions into this build, which sets it up to be a humble, wandering badass.

And speaking of humility, in case anyone wanted some more mods that are relevant to this build, just yesterday EnaiSiaion released Wintersun - Faiths of Skyrim, which adds a meditation/devotion mechanic to the game. It even includes a partial Yokudan pantheon!

Also, elysees's wild sword animations may be another fun way to spice up your Shehai. They can be a little over the top depending on your character/aesthetic, but they definitely look like they could cut the atomos.

Anyway, thank you for crafting this excellent character. The Redguard/Yokudan are some of my favorite parts of TES lore, and now I can really dive in. Cheers!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm really fascinated by sword singing too so I guess I put a lot of thought into it. Lol.

Also, I just read through faiths is Skyrim and Holly crap is that cool. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! I'm gonna have to install that as soon as it's on Xbox.

Im building a Redguard play through where im trying to do it without being the DragonBorn There are a few new Bound sword mods that i think work well enough to use as the Shehai Blade. Plus the Sword Singer and Ansei mods
