I've used this site for inspiration on new builds many, many times so I thought I'd share my one of my favorite builds with all of you, who've helped me so much. This build has been one of the most fun and rewarding I've tried. The orginal motivation for it was to create a capable character that didn't have to utilize Enchanting, Smithing, or Alchemy. While I know how great they can be, doing this allowed a play through free of having to spend time with my character standing over a table to level up a skill. All the skills for this build can be increased in the field, providing an exciting gameplay free of those large amounts of times with no action. In short, you spend a lot more time kicking ass than preparing to kick ass. I know the lack of those skills limit the character to a degree, but it's a great build to use when you just feel like jumping straight into the action and not ever have to jump out. Anyway, on with the build.

Big thanks to Ponty here for both of these screenshots.

    The Requisitioner

The Requisitioner is a skilled conjurer that utilizes bound weapons and summoning to wreak havoc on enemies in all situations. Utilizing stealth and tactical positioning, this build is largely focused on always having the upper hand going into battle but still being versatile enough to go toe-to-toe when needed. The primary weapon will be the Bound Bow while relying on a mixture of the Bound Sword, a shield, and summons when in close range. Restoration will be used when you need a get a little low on "life juice", as well as the occasional use of wards, if needed. The Requisitioner preferably wears Light armor to provide protection while not hindering agility or stealth.

Useful shouts included Aura Whisper, Throw Voice, and Whirlwind Sprint for manipulation and utility and Elemental Fury, Slow Time, and Unrelenting Force for combat. Dragonrend can also be helpful.

I went with Breton as my starting race for the starting Conjuration level, beginning spell, and high magic resistance, but any of the races could work. The stone I started with was the Lover's Stone because of the spread of skills utilized in all 3 trees.

    Major Skills

Conjuration - This build's most important skill. Bound weapons will be used the majority of the time. Summoning creatures will not only be a large part of your offensive attack, but also will be used to call attention away from you. Perks will be taken pretty heavily.

Archery - With your Bound Bow being your primary means of direct damage to your enemies, investing in Archery will be a large focus.

Sneak - Very important skill to make sure you start most battles with an advantage. Sneak attacks will be common, but not relied on. Still, a great skill to put perks in.

One-Handed - Whether you find yourself in a situation where Archery isn't effective, or when you just feeling like spilling blood a different way, the Bound Sword will be utilized. Will get some attention.

    Minor Skills

Illusion - Personally, I used Illusion spells very seldom, but needed Quiet Casting for this build to work.

Restoration - When your health is low, this will be what keeps you alive.

Light Armor - Between this and your shield, will provide decent protection. Will get some perks here.

Block - Same as Light Armor.

Very nice especially for a first build!  One thing I would do would be to add some lore to it and perhaps a backstory.

     Good Job!

Thanks! I actually have a full page backstory, but I wasn't sure if I should to personalize it that much or not. I will probably try to shorten it up and add it in there.

    Thanks for the advice.

I liked this the second i read your opening few paragraphs Ben, my current abomination is taking very similar steps by limiting crafting to allow for better gameplay. Luckily its not the same as yours (thank god, i thought i was about to have a Ponty moment for a few seconds)

Conjuration builds are always fun to play and its still probably my favourite skill. Some folks seem to think conjuration is expensive but in my experience it provides the greatest 'bang for buck' of all the spell schools.

This is a 'pick up and play' build and they are always great fun, nothing worse than opening a new build and seeing the line '...this guy wears full daedric armor...'.

Great job for a first build!

Thanks. That means a lot coming from you. I've used so many of yours and Ponty's builds it's not even funny. Finally thought I'd give it a try and post one of my favorites.

I agree with you about Conjuration. Even if it is considered "expensive", its versatility alone makes it worth it. That's exactly why I based this build on it so heavily. With the bound weapons, not being able to craft weapons isn't as big of a deal and the ability to summon causes enough of a distraction to make up for the only "adequate" armor.

Anyway, thanks for the comment man. I'm glad you like it.

Damn. this is basically the same to a build i was going to post, focusing on conjuration heavily. Oh well, just have to think of another build.

Anyway, this build is superb for a first build! +1 like from me.

I like it, a more magical variant on the classic Assassin archetype. Brilliant work for your first build, it's got everything - the good concept, good presentation, nice and clean and concise. I find these days that I'm drifting into long-winded explanations of alot of stuff, given that my builds are getting increasingly complex...

I really like the idea of not doing crafting, on my Arcane Bladesman character I just went all the way to ~90 Enchanting in one sitting, since alot of skills I find really annoying to level. Bound weapons are highly underrated in the Character Building group over here, I'm glad to see them getting some more love.

If I played it I'd probably put a bit more emphasis on Illusion, perhaps dropping the second two Bound Weapon perks (since you already have Conjuration and Restoration for soul trap and banish), and Silence (since Muffle and Muffled Movement together have the same effect), and gotten up to Expert Illusion. I can really see you in a tricky situation popping Invisibility, ducking around a corner, and healing up while your enemy searches for you, then landing another sneak attack or two before you're found again.

Overall excellent work man, looking forward to seeing what else you've got for us.

    Happy birthday by the way

Nice, a build with no crafting.  I've played similar builds; and they're quite successful.  I 'liked' the other day, but I was hurried, so left no comment.  This build is climbing fast; good job.

    Oh, and Happy Birthday.

Thanks! I was really hoping you'd give your opinion on this character. Huge fan of your builds.

As far as illusion goes, I agree it would fit well with this build. When I realized how vital Quiet Casting was for this build, I strongly considered featuring illusion more. The decision to not to focus on illusion was 2 part. As a huge fan of stealthy gameplay, (probably 90% of my characters I've had are sneaks of some sort) I have found my using illusion a ton while playing Skyrim. So one, it was partially to get away from that and try different things. Two, I wanted this character to have the ability to go toe-to-toe effectively. Already focusing on conjuration and archery so much, I was worried if I used illusion in combat as well, One handed and Block wouldn't level up enough to make him formidable in those areas later in the game.

Thanks for the comment... and the birthday wishes

    Thanks!

Yeah, I'm really happy it's been received so well. With it being my first posted build, I was worried how it would go.
