                                                      The Blood-Seeker

The blood-seeker is a Spellsword-type character, who's limited to a few spells but have a great control over the ennemies and regen himself with those ennemies making a fun and fast paced gameplay.

The concept of this build is to combined two glitch who goes perfectly hand to hand: the ultimate atronach and the vampiric grip in human form.

    Back-story:

It was a dark night, like all the nights in his small, damp house. He just got back from his school, back from his hell on earth. People were mean to him, because het wasn't that talented in the schools of magic like every other Breton. He was "too weak" and his parents, well they weren' the best either. His father served in the legion as a healer and his mother...it's complicated but let's say that she wasn't what she looks like. His parents didn't like him, not one little bit.

The next day was his birthday, but he didn't look forward to it. Every day was the same to him, because every day was suffering and bullying. But, to his amazement, it wasn't the case today. This day was different. His parents greeted him when he got out of his bed and what he saw next was something he didn't even dare to dream about. A dog, a friend. The first friend he ever got.
His parents looked at him and said: "We saw that you were sad, that you kept to yourself all the time. So we thought that we would get you a friend." Our little Blood-Seeker was out of this world with his new friend, therefore he called him 'Lucky', for this is the most luck he ever got.

A couple of years had passed and he went training for his life as a mercenary, for he wanted to protect the people that live a bad life, just like he did. So he moved out of his home and went to the edge of High-Rock for his training. He would get lessons in the schools of magic and he would fight in an arena for the pupils to train his swordsmanship. A couple of years passed by and he now is a fullfletched mercenary that's about to go on a great adventure of fortune, honesty and protection. He travelled for days when he finally arrived at a small town on the edge of Hammerfell. He heard rumors of a vampire clan nearby. They killed an entire town nearby and kept some of them as cattle to feed on. As soon as he heard this he said to Lucky: "Well Lucky, let's go to the bloodsuckers, shall we?" And so they went to the cave the vampires resided in. They fought throught the cave and slaughtered every one of them. But then the headmaster of the clan came. It was like he walked throught shadows, unseen by the human eye. And then it happened. As the vampire walked out of the shadows a bolt of electricity hit Lucky and killed him on the spot. The Blood-Seeker was devasted with his loss and killed the vampire without hasitation. The battle went on for ten minutes. Ten minutes of sorrow, madness and blood. When he finally killed the vampire he felt something bloeding in his neck. He got bitten. He wanted to get out of this cave as soon as possible, but he didn't want to leave Lucky like this. So he chose to bury him and he just got too late for the cure. He is a vampire now.

"What are you doing, master?" "Nothing." It has been ten years already. Ten years as a vampire, a lonely vampire without his best friend. After his loss he could never feel happiness. Only sadness and sorrow. He became a master of the arcane arts and a master swordsman, but he didn't want to be a mercenary anymore. He started his own clan, killing people to feed their hunger and to fill his empty heart. But then, one frightening night, they came. A group of fourty mercenries, all former friends, went in their cave and slaughtered the vampires. Except for him. He knew they would come so he fled. He knew he was a wanted man and he fled out of Hammerfell. Five days passed and he finally reached the border. Full of hunger he went to the nearest town, but then he got caught by the Imperials. And that's where your story begins.

a big thanks to SheogorathXYZ for this awesom back-story

     The Glitches:

let's first start by explaining the core of this build: the 2 glitches that are the base of the blood-seeker's gameplay

Vampiric grip in human form: it's pretty simple, this glitch will allow you to use the vamire-lord power: vampiric grip without being in the vampire-lord form

    how to perfom it:

    1. Equip Conjure Bound Sword in your left hand
    2. Use Vampire Lord power and immediately Cast bound sword
    3. When transformed, equip the left hand spell you want to have.
    4. Change power to Revert Form
    5. Use Revert Form, wait untill your screen gets blurry and then VERY QUICKLY bring up the quick select menu. It should show that your left hand spell is still equipped, this is a lie.
    6. VERY QUICKLY Press to equip the spell, when you do everything should disappear except Vampire's Sight
    7. Exit quick select menu and quickly charge left hand spell until you revert
    8. You should now have the left hand Vampire Lord spell in your human hand.

(or download a mod, link at the end)

The Ultimate Atronach: You probably know that by drinking restoration potions before activating the Atronach stone, you can boost its effects, well for somes reasons if it give you exaclty 78% of magicka bonus/magicka degeneration/spell absorption, you will be able to cast any concentration spell infinitly and guess wich spell is a concentration-type spell ? That's right: Vampirice grip!

    how to perform it:

you'll need: 2 X Philter of the Healer -1 X Draught of the Healer
drink the potions in this order: philter > Draught > philter, then activate the atronach stone

/!\ Don't add any magicka point in any way or the effect won't work anymore /!\

(thanks to Mason and his seraphim build for making me discover this awesom glitch)

Time to look for another prey

    Race: Vampire Breton

    Stone: Ultimate Atronach

Major Skills: One-handed - Enchanting - Light armor

    Minor Skills: Destruction - Restoration

    Armor: Light-armor of your choice

Weapon: Sword or War-axe enchanted with life-absorb (and elemental damage once you reach enchanting lvl 100)

    Stats placement: 0 - 2 - 1

With the combination of those perk and the 2 glitches you will have a fast warrior who drain the life of his ennemies as a way to sustain in the heat of the battle

thanks to Golden Fool for this perk spread

one-handed and light armor: I don't think those perk require any explanation, just perk one handed depending if you choose to use a sword or a war-axe (maces are too slow to allow for a good use of the draining life enchant)

Destruction: used primarily to boost the absorb health: adding a elemental enchantment with the correct perks (augmented flammes/frost/shock) will boost the elemental enchant but also the other enchatment add with the "extra effect" perk. Is also used to cast elemental walls, for a better space control

choose one elemental way to focus on, I personnally picked ice, but each have good point:

there is a lot of ennemies weak to fire,(also in D&D the blood-hunter class is often depicted with a fiery sword, so thats a big bonus in charisma)

ice make it easier to deal with warriors

and shock is resisted by almost nothing

Enchanting: obviously to get the best of the "absorb health" effect, but also for reduction of destrucion cost, (but why ? we have the atronach glitch! Yes, but I hate having to recharge my weapon)

Restoration: Healing and Wards also benefit from the ultimate atronach.

note that with the powerfull health absorbtion that we have, most powerfull non-concentraion spell like closed wound won't be needed

also one of this character ability use "healing hand"

    talking about abilties...

The Blood Seeker using "prometheus torment" to sustain in daylight

    Abilities:

BloodBath: your go-to move to figth, grab a ennemy with vampiric grip, and slash him with your weapon, healing yourslef and damaging your victim who is unable to move

Vampiric grip + Absorb health weapon

Prometheus Torment: perfect to fully replenish our health, this allow to maintaint a victim alive while absorbing is health, the victim, of course, cannot move

Vampiric grip + healing hand/necromantic healing

Hungry for mana ?: thanks to his breton blood, the Blood-seeker can, once a day, attain 100% spell absorb, allowing him to fearlessly fight even the most powerfull mages

    Dragonskin + atronach stone

    Recommanded mod:

this build can be played without any mod, but they can help:

vampiric grip in human form: pretty simple: it add a spelltome with the vampiric grip, allowing us to acces it without performing the glitch

Ritual armor of boethia: my choice of light armor for this build, look perfect

                                                                          Good hunting

closing notes: thanks you for your time, I hope you'll appreciate it

English is not my first language, so even if I try to spellcheck, somes mistakes may be present, if so im sorry, and please tell me so I can correct them and learn, thanks you

I really like the concept of this build. I don't know if this is your first build, but if it is, it's good for a beginner. One thing it misses thought, is maybe a little backstory. It isn't necessary but it adds something to the build. Just a small little backstory so we can see how he became like this.

yep, it's my first build, thanks ^^

and yeah I know the backstory/lore is kinda missing, but im really bad at RP, only the gameplay aspect of the game inspire me :/ I couldn't resolve myself to just put 2lines saying "it's a vampire so he want to absorb blood..." so I just put nothing, thinking if someone want to play it, he will probably build a better RP than I would

maybe I should have adapted the lore of the "blood hunter" class of d&d, or at least try to take inspiration from it

This is nice! Great art, easy to get into gameplay, fun little mod list... I think all we need do is tidy the formatting a bit and it'll look lovely. If you want any help with that please just hollah, I know it can be a bit fiddly :) I also look forward to what you both come up with for the backstory - one of the best parts of a build for me :)
