Hello all, this is my first build on Tamriel vault, so I hope it's good!

    The Bosmer Housecarl

The Bosmer Housecarl, a Wood elf sworn to serve the current Jarl of Falkreath's father, he uses his weapons and wit to get out of tough situations, but he has a secret...

    Race: Wood elf

Weapons: Elven sword, Elven bow, Elven arrows

Armour: Blue Dawnguard armour gauntlets and boots, Shrouded cowl

    Stats: 6health 4 stamina (per 10 levels)

Jewelry: Amulet of Dibella, Ring of Magic resistance

Skills: One handed, Archery, Sneak, Light armour, Speech, Lockpicking

    Standing stone: Thief to Lord

Shouts: Whirlwind sprint, Fire breath, Slow time

    Backstory:

The Bosmer Housecarl was born and raised in Valenwood, at the age of 14 he was recruited by the Valenwood rangers. Teaching him how to hunt and use a bow, and brew potions and poisons without breaking the green pact. He was good at everything except alchemy. When he was old enough, he went to Cyrodil to harness his ranger abillities. When he arrived, he went to go find a cave for temporary shelter. He found one and went inside, but it was inhabited by Imperial bandits. He put up a good fight, but they over powered him. They threw him in a cell and took his gear. One day after his daily meal, he saw a bandit drop a lockpick, using his knowledge of lockpicking, he escaped. Abandoning the green pact and his ranger ways, he went to Skyrim. He arrived in Falkreath, and helping the Jarl with a bear problem and saving his life, he became the Jarls housecarl. After a few years, he decided to patrol the mountains around Falkreath with a few men. They were caught in the Imperial ambush, and only he survived. He was then carted of to Helgan...

    level 20 Perk Spread:

One handed: Armsman 2/5, Fighting stance, Bladesman 1/5

Archery: Overdraw 1/5, Eagle eye, Critical shot 1/5

Light armour: Agile defender 2/5, Custom fit

    Sneak: Stealth 2/5, Muffled movement

    Lockpicking: Nocice, Apprentice, Adept

    Speech: Haggling 2/5, Bribery

(assuming all skills are about level 30)

    Roleplaying and Factions:

The Bosmer Housecarl will not follow the green pact, so do NOT by any circumstances get the ring of namira. if you decide to do the quest, you will kill the person in the Markarth hall of the dead. He will help any body if it is reasonable, but do not help Imperials or anyone who is racist. You could join the companies or the thieves guild to generate income. If you decide to join either of these factions, you will finish them 100%. If you join the companions and become a werewolf it is up to you to cure it or not, I chose to cure it. You will also destroy the dark brotherhood. At about level 25, the build will split into two different branches, you can stay a housecarl, or become thane of any city (you will automatically become thane of Whiterun, so if you choose the housecarl branch, you can just roleplay that you didn't).

    Playstyle:

Before battle The Bosmer Housecarl will sneak around and get into a good position, he will than start shooting at the strongest enemies using his bow. And once he is discovered, he will charge in with his sword, and kill any body else. If he is in an area where he cannot do that, he will just charge in with his sword and use fire breath and slow time, (to dodge attacks easier) and whirlwind sprint if you need to get away.

    Here is the second branch:

    The Bosmer Thane

Weapons: Glass bow, Glass arrows, Ebony sword

Armour: Linwe's gauntlets and boots, Black Dawnguard armour, Linwe's hood (optional)

Stats: 6 health 4 stamina (per 10 levels)

Jewelry: Amulet of Dibella, Ring of Frost resistance

Skills: One handed, Archery, Light armour, Sneak, Speech, Lockpicking

    Standing stone: Lord

Shouts: Aura whisper, Elemental fury, Ice form

    Level 20 Perk Spread:

One handed: Armsman 2/5, Fighting stance, Bladesman 1/5

Archery: Overdraw 1/5, Eagle eye, Steady hand 1/3

Light armour: Agile defender 2/5, Custom fit

    Sneak: Stealth 2/5, Backstab

    Lockpicking: Novice, Apprentice, Adept

Pickpocket: Light fingers 2/5, Night thief

    Speech: Haggling 2/5, Allure

(assuming all skills are about level 30, except archery which is level 40)

    Roleplaying and Factions:

The Bosmer Thane is a little bit like the housecarl, but with some changes. He will join the thieves guild and complete it. He will also help anybody who absolutely needs it, but he will not help Imperials or anyone who is racist. In regards to Daedric princes, he will not do any of those quests.

    Playstyle:

The Bosmer Thane will start battle by finding a good position, and picking off all the enemies with his bow. When he goes inside an area, he will aura whisper to find his opponents location. And then he will sit somewhere and pick off the weakest enemies first, then go in with his sword using elemental fury (to swing faster) to kill the rest of them. The Bosmer Thane is more of a thief/assasin, whereas The Bosmer Housecarl is more of a warrior

And that is it! I hope you enjoyed.

This looks pretty cool, but it's kind of hard to tell without knowing what perks you are putting into the build... a link to the SKyrim Perk Calculator would be an easy way to fix that ;D

It would also be nice to see how you, personally, approached various aspects of the game (combat in particular). What were some of the interesting things you did when you played this build? As it stands, you've created a great character profile, but we don't really know what you did with him (which is a shame, because it looks like it could be a lot of fun).

I agree with Shin, there is a lot of great potential here. Not everyday we see a Bosmer in the role of Housecarl. Images and perk details would go a long way towards fleshing this out.

As you are using a Dawnguard set, have you seen the Talos Housecarl Armour? It uses some of the Dawnguard visual style, is incredibly detailed without being too ornate, possessing as it does quite an organic feel. It would look good on a Wood Elf, I think. It is my new favourite thing, but alas is only on PC and Xbox One.

Much better... now we know what to do with the Thane/Housecarl ;D

Any chance you can cruise the internet for art to add an extra bit of flavor to the build? I've found that the right image thoughtfully inserted can really help recreate the feel of a build. Just a suggestion :D
