"Super happy crazy fun." Up in your grill." ""Naturally, you would say there is no greater honor than being bedded by some mindless sload just because he happens to have beaten or driven away every other male rival in a stronghold. I am not of the same opinion… perhaps you should go bed yourself, then."
In a build full of quotable quotes it is hard to find a favourite. You give us less exposition and more in-universe things to look at with each new build, great art and fantastic writing - all presented with your usual charm. Fantastic build, Shinjin. Are you done with Travenya gra-Urag? I hope not. I dare say I like her and would like to read more from her.
I mean:
"Couldn't be that, boys. We're great conversationalists. Why don't you sit on my lap a bit so we can... talk?" Their smiles looked anything but friendly.
Well, I suppose I have this coming. She held up her hands,"Look, fellas, I don't want any trouble..."
Together, the three men started to converge, and the large one chuckled, "Oh, believe me—it won't be."
The slightest trace of a smile curved across Travenya's lips as the air around her hands crackled and became suffused with a faint purple haze, "I wouldn't be too sure..."
C'mon now! More, give me more! :D

Dang, Phil! I just can't think of a finer compliment... ever. Thank you :D

I'm certainly not finished playing the build (I've taken her to the upper 50's, and there's still stuff to explore), but I hadn't really considered any more writing--writing outside of builds strays pretty far past my comfort zone... and probably my abilities ;D

As one who loves to read books, journals, notes, etc. in Skyrim, the title of this build immediately caught my eye. If that wasn't enough, once I read the opening of Travenya's a Compendium of Conversations I just had to continue. I love the almost journal-like format you've used to tell the story and the bits of humor interjected within.
I ike the way you've woven the character of Travenya into the world of Skyrim as Urag-gro-Shub's daughter, which gives the roleplay personal in-game involvement. I like how you've tied Travenya's name into TES Oblivion lore. I especially like Travenya's interaction with Yamarz and her prediction of his days as chieftain coming to an end and how this "journal entry" can be tied directly into Travenya's roleplay in-game.
My current build is your typical sneaky arcane-archer (sneak, illusion, archery). Your build puts an entirely different spin on the combination of magic and archery which sounds intriguing, challenging and a lot of fun! Alchemy can be overwhelming so I like that you've limited it to a few ingredients and key potions (which I love the names of!). The gameplay itself seems very fluid since the main objective is acquiring books and artifacts, which offers plenty of opportunites to just explore Skyrim. This sounds like a very interesting build to play! You had me at "books." :)
Did you complete any faction type quest lines with Travenya other than the College of Winterhold quests? If so which ones and which sides did Travenya take? For example, did she destroy the Dark Brotherhood or start it and not continue it beyond gaining access to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary to obtain the Shrouded Cowl and Shoes?
What did you do early game for storage before you had access to safe storage in the Arch-Mages Quarters?

First of all thank you, Gail, for your incredibly kind words. I don't know what my deal is, but I always find myself gravitating towards the books in almost every build I play--I collect them, put them in a barrel, and save them for some light reading. I finally found an opportunity to use that little personality quirk in a build xD
Gail Olmstead said:Dang it! I'm feeling rather atypical now. I don't think I've ever incorporated Illusion with an Archer--never even thought to do it. I think it sounds kind of cool. Heck, I might even be tempted to amp up the Illusion aspect of it by getting rid of Sneak and Using Muffle and Invisibility as a primary means of sneaking about. The Librarian's Daughter gave me a chance to explore some aspects of Archery that I never really used before, and your current build sounds like it would do the same thing for me (with both Archery and Illusion). I think I might toy around with that for a bit :DMy current build is your typical sneaky arcane-archer (sneak, illusion, archery).

Wow! Thank you very much, BL :D
And good catch... I think only one other person has mentioned the connection to Archmage Traven. I liked him, and it always made me sad the way things went down.

I play my character similar to ESO's Dream Strider build on YouTube, only using archery instead of daggers (with another difference being that I play a bascially moral character as opposed to an assassin). The combination of Muffle and Invisibility along with Sneak makes my character undetectable in most cases. I had never thought to use those in place of Sneak because by the time I could cast Invisibility I had already leveled Sneak quite high. With a fully perked tree, high level Illusion spells such as Mayhem and Harmony are effective against all but the most powerful enemies such as Draugr Deathlords and Forsworn Briarhearts.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun! My only reasoning for avoiding Sneak entirely was because I was envisioning a crusader-type that pummels enemies with missiles, and then busts out the Illusion magic when things get too hot (that, and I'm always trying to find new ways to accomplish different tasks). If I were to play that as a thief though, those early levels would be hair-raisers xD
