    The Phoenix Mage

    Backstory:

You lived with your parents in Elsweyr till you were ten. Some khajiit from the other clans were visiting your clan recently. You wonder why this is happening but when you question your parents the simply say, “Go help your uncle hunt. “That night you were fast asleep in your bear fur made bed when all of a sudden you wake up because of loud noises, screaming, and other crazy noises. As you arise from your slumber you leave your room you stand at the tree top and see fire everywhere with flashing lights everywhere and you are shot by a red energy like thing that overwhelmed you with fear and while your mind is clouded by Nightmares of all sorts you accidently fall off the edge. You awake And You are imprisoned in a cart run by the thalmor. You learn that they were attacking instead of another clan and they were imprisoning khajiit for unknown reasons. A few Years passed and you were 18, In those few years You were held in a cell and you learned that everything that happened that day you will never forget. As those years went on you learned what caused that fire and light, Destruction and Restoration Magic. Once in a while thalmor would drop tomes that held information about said magic and you were able to learn that magic. You were held in a cell in a prison near the border to Skyrim and left for dead. You manage to escape but when you leave the jail you see 3 thalmor justiciars standing at the door. You make a run for it and you manage to get away. As you travel you come across Skyrim’s borders and you are caught in a skirmish between the StormCloaks and the Imperials. You are knocked out and tied up where you were put in a cart with other Stormcloaks and you learn that you are being taken to Helgen.

    Build:

Race: Khajiit (You can pick any race as some have magic bonuses but khajiit fits with roleplay)

Stats: 1 magicka/1 health/0 stamina (when you reach higher level you can forego health and put it into magicka)

    Stone: Mage

    Major Skills: Destruction, Restoration, Enchanting

    Minor Skills: Light Armor

    Gear:

-Phoenix Scale Helm (Elven Light Armor helmet)

-Phoenix Scale ChestPlate (Elven Light Armor)

-Pheonix Scale Gauntlets (Elven Light Armor gauntlets)

-Phoenix Scale Boots (Elven Light Armor Boots)

(Enchant as soon as possible do not worry because you will get many chances to get more elven light armor and if you level up then you can use glass amor)

    Story and Questing:

After you escape helgen you get back on your feet while staying with ralof and gerdur. You learn of a thalmor camp in Skyrim North-West of Solitude, Northwatch. You head over to the fort without thinking and when you reach the fort you attack the Thalmor guard at the front. You barely end up defeating him but you know you are not strong enough to take the rest of them on. You loot his body grabbing his armor and head to Dawnstar. You don’t go to solitude as it is full of imperials which are allied with the Aldmeri Dominion. When you arrive in Dawnstar you wish to drown your sorrows at the inn until you learn of the College of Winterhold where you can learn new spells and become a more powerful mage.

    College Of Winterhold:

This is where you start to become a powerful mage, you have deep hatred towards Ancano which makes you suspicious of him. Though you hate the thalmor you have no quarrels with high elves in general so Faralada or any other high elves that are not associated with the thalmor are fine. You will make J’zargo your follower as you both wish to get more powerful and you both become somewhat rivals.

    StormCloaks (Civil War):

After finishing the college of Winterhold questline you go back to North watch and defeat the remaining thalmor. But you feel that something is wrong you know you will have to do much more than take down that fort to take down the Aldmeri dominion and its allies. So you join The Stormcloaks. J’zargo as you have told him of your past understands why you joined them and decides to accompany you on your journey. There are multiple reasons the phoenix would join the Stormcloaks. He hates the Aldmeri domino, they are wrong to take Nords and imprison them and try to banish worship of Talos. He does not want to see what happened to him happen in Skyrim. In this questline he will have a deep connection with Skyrim and wants to protect it.

    Dawn guard DLC:

As he wants to protect Skyrim he learns that there is a new vampire threat threatening Skyrim and so he joins To Protect Skyrim As it has now become his home.

    The Gameplay:

Well it depends at what level you are at around eight in dungeons I would use fire rune to set a trap then fireball to hit the enemy(s) When You Reach higher level maybe try to use a similar trap ambush like scenario. If you are caught off guard don’t worry the phoenix has abundant of spells that can heal him then regain your magicka to blast them to bits with potent destruction spells or use weaker spells such as flames that don't cost much magicka and use thos till you have defeated the enemy. The enemy notices you before you get a chance to attck open up with (depending on the situation and level) Something like fireball or incinerate to take down enemies or use flames or spells like it take down a big mass amount of enemies but it will not be as powerful as one of the special moves.  If you are fighting a bunch of enemies look below for one of the special moves. Do Any Quests that Protect Skyrim or involves crossing the empire or Aldmeri dominion. If you see imperial or thalmor patrol especially if they have a prisoner, kill them.

    Special Moves:

    Divine Light:

    Fire Storm + Guardian Circle

"As a phoenix is hurt and dies it comes back to life from the ashes of its former self regaining its health and whilst fire spreads everywhere."

Use this special move dealing with many enemies it deals lots of damage all around you while healing you.

    Heavenly Strike:

    Vampires Bane + Incinerate

"As a phoenix flaps its wings it sends forward a powerful blast of fire and light that could destroy the darkest creatures."

This move is good but it is basically used for a vampire enemy and since dawguard is a questline you will be using it will be useful.

    Very funny, Wu.

That being said, hi Sky and welcome to the CB group, make yourself comfortable and have a read of our pinned topics.

I see a small but present gameplay section and a perkspread, so you got that down. You said criticism would be awesome, however and that's a great attitude to have, because there is always room for improvement. Rather than tell you what I want to see in a build though, cause I know that already, I'm gonn flip the question on its head and ask you if you've realized your vision? Do YOU think there is anything that needs additional work in your build? I notice some things, yes, but part of what Vargr and I like doing here is getting builders to think critically about their own work, not tell you how to do things.

If you feel that you need more work, we have the workshop, run by Dragonborn and WuYiXiang. You can post your build there as a WiP.

Okay, on a more serious note, I'd recommend checking grammar and spelling since there are a number of mistakes that I noticed while skimming. Besides that, I'll parrot Liss a bit and ask the following:

Every builder has different standards. The question is whether or not this build meets your goal. For inspiration, I highly recommend checking out other builds and seeing what they do differently from yours. Talk to some builders and while you don't necessarily have to agree, listen to what they have to say. It can only help you in the long run.
