    The Dragon Priest

    Konahrik

You wake up with no memories of your past or life. You don’t even know your own name. The only thing you hear is marching then laughing then… nothing. You wake again in a cart with three men and in tattered clothes. Why you are there, only the gods can decide.

“I can smell your thirst for power, Dragonborn.” -Hermaeus Mora

Waking up in Darkwater Passing with no memories of your past, you are determined to find out about what and who you used to be. But in mere minutes of your waking, you are about to be slain once more. Once at the chopping block, the unthinkable happens; a dragon of legends attacks. You know him. You spoke with him. He promised you power, which was all you wanted, if you did his bidding. But, he lied and you rebelled and in doing that you unintentionally started a mythic war. The Dragon War. Unfourtunetly, you can't remember anything after that. All you can do is escape the chaos...

    Character Creation:

Race: I'd recommend a Nord (Vampire) because of their relations with dragons, atmorans, and the akalivari. Their resistance to frost magic also stacks on to that of being a vampire lord which is very helpful.

Stone: In the beginning, go with the mage stone to enhance your magical abilities. Later on however, switch to the lord stone as yr.

Stats: 50%/40%/10% Magicka is obviously used to cast more powerful spells, more frequently. ALOT of heath is needed because you'll not be wearing any armor. Very little stamina is needed to power attack your dragonbone sword.

Playstyle: Your supposed to be an elite spellsword. In the beginning, you with have to practice your destruction and alteration by using sparks and flesh spells while wearing novice robes. Later on, would want to charge in with the equipment listed below and attack the enemy head on. The best defense is a good offense.

Equipment: Below is a list of equipment that should be obtained as soon as possible.

Weapons: Basicness (is that a word?).

    *Dragonbone Sword-(Dragonbane Enchantment)

*Any shock spell-(Preferably the lightning bolt)

Roleplay/Check list: Below I provide a list of objectives that should be your main priorities and why.

    * Slay Alduin, because he betrayed and lied to you. It is also why the divines resurrected you.

    * Defeat Miraak, because he opposes your very being. If the coward won't come to you, you go to him.

    * Obtain Konahrik, because your powers will never reach their full potential without their source.

Skills: Being blessed by the gods and being the Dragonborn has its "perks". (Level 60/Max)

As you escape helgen, you see the dragon fly over and past the mountains and you then remember more. As you lifted your sword to behead the mighty beast, he shouted FUS RO DAH in you direction. He shouted you off the mountain side where you ultimately fell on your sword. Moments before your death a familiar face ripped your dragon priest mask off. Nahkriin. Then your senses failed you... you saw nor heard nothing. You died. You should probably get those awesome skills back. I would.

    Quests:

Main Questline: In your moment of vengeance against the Imperials for almost having you killed, you soon learn of your true destiny to defeat Alduin, the World Eater.

Dragonborn: Miraak opposes your very being. And there can only be one. Dragon priest versus dragon priest. Dragonborn versus Dragonborn. One will prevail...

College of Winterhold: Here is a place where you thought you could study the arcane arts in peace, but instead you learn to wield the very tools that were used to create Nirn.

Dawnguard (Volkihar): Not because your evil and blood thirsty, but because your immortal and powerful. (Note, you should combine your vampirism powers with the necromage perk to enhance your magical abilities and all other affects.)

Civil War (Stormcloaks): When you remembered all you sacrificed for your ancient kinsman, you decide to do the same form their offspring. Plus, the Imperials deserve all little justice since Helgen, don't you think?

    Final Comments:

Thanks for reading my re-done Dragon Priest! If you enjoyed please like because that always helps. I'd like to thank Golden Fool for making the perk spreadsheet, Fish(something, I'll fix it soon) for making the equipment spreadsheet, and the youtube channel, Fudgemuppet, for giving me the idea to create a similar build. Please tell me what I could have done to make it better and any tips of mistakes to fix. Thanks again!!!

Ah mate. I say this (mostly for both of your builds) but you really need to work on the presentation of the builds. Check out some Mythic/Legendary Builds to get some tips but at the moment the poor presentation is holding you back.

First of all your text is just massive. A someone who usually complains about text being small (bad eyesight) I do get the appeal of a larger text but having the entire build in Size 20(?), Bolded text is a little much. I'd really recommend toning that down and trying to get a visual Perk Spread from the Art Group.

The build itself is lacking in depth. Give us a bit to base this character off of other than the name. I still have no idea how or why he's connected to Konahrik (And any Dragon Priest Build usually excites me and everyone else) or what type of character he is. Is he power-hungry, tired of his immortal life, evil or what?

I'd really recommend expanding on all of that and also checking out some Legendary/Mythic Builds here on the site. They are an excellent example of what a build should look like and they will help you improve these two. I know most of this post is negative, but with a little work and some interesting ideas I'm sure you have, this build could look and be really good. Keep working on it mate

It is not negative at all! It is wonderful feedback to help me improve my builds. One day I hope to be counted among the mythic builders. But for now, I'll take your advice and look at some more. Also, please tell me more about the Art Group.

The Art Group is full of people who can help you with art for your build. Generally just things like Equipment and Perk Spreads but I do believe there is currently a screenshot request thread open that could get you some nice Screenshots to go with it. The link I provided leads straight to the Art Request Thread which is where you could request a Perk Spread for your build.

Oh and I forgot about this but it's against the Character Building Group rules to have parenthesis/brackets in your titles, it's mostly just in place to keep the group neat but you do have to remove them anyway. Perhaps simply Konahrik the Dragon Priest or something... Might be a little long. The Warlord Priest maybe (Is Konahrik the one that means Warlord....Can't remember)

Yes, it is. Thanks again for the help! I'll make a request soon. (And I fixed the title like you asked.)

You forgot to describe the tactics that this character would use. In the beginning when it's weak how do you deal with charging bands of bandits backed up by a spell user? Later how do you defeat the toughest monsters and bad guys? I would have a hard time killing a dragon with this character.

Not at a higher level. I'll be sure to go back and fix that. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hey Riley. You're not allowed to like your own build. You'll have to remove your like.

Ok. Did just that. Is my build somewhat better now?

  • September 27, 2015

Its am improvement over the Bloodshed Mercenary, but it still requires considerable work. You're lacking substance in every section, so its hard to really imagine how this guy fights. Dont be afraid of details. Take a look at some of the mythic and legendary builds to gain a better idea of the level of detail expected in a build.

I also recommend using this guide to help you improve this build.
