There are multiple theories about this and frankly, we don't know the truth. We do know that the player is spoken to by the Night Mother, which suggests some other worldly power and gives evidence that the Night Mother is some form of diety, along with Sithis. Mephala is separate from the Night Mother, as proven by Skyrim

Not necessarily, although they don't make any connection between the two, they don't make anything to disconnect them either. Yes it would be nice if Mephala made a hint to her Listener when you go to get the Ebony Blade but she doesn't. But nor does she make hints of distaste towards the Listener. And this discussion, while fun, is besides the point. I merely wanted to state that it is a good pair of static daggers that give lower stamina cost per power swing and give (slightly) faster swing speed due to weight reduction as opposed to ebony daggers. And the quest (depending on your beliefs) is very thematically fitting or thematically fitting to go and refuse it just as an "up yours" to the Morag Tong depending on beliefs.

Which, I whole-heartedly disagree with as the Dark Brotherhood has ntohing to do with Boethiah.

A great example of collaborative work between you all as well as Hircine and Sithis. Each one of you should be proud of yourselves. It has some really nice features and nicely laid out.

A definite Awwwooo from me. Well done, all of you.

Love this build, definite +1 from me. I just have one question: why did you say to keep one of the Orcish War Axes as unenchanted?

    For use with Elemental Fury

Ohhh. I thought both had to be unenchanted for that to work (I'm an avid enchanter so I don't really use that shout)

Nope, for the purposes of dual power attacks, if the left-hand axe is unenchanted, then the entire dual power attack will get the speed boost. Very fun!

If I may add, dual power/ dual swing attacks are based on the speed of the left hand weapon and the main simply adds the stamina cost multiplier. This is why arguably a dagger/sword or dagger/ace combo are the best given the dagger speed and the high dmg of a mace or the cost efficiency of a sword. The only reason 2 daggers are ruled out is because of the animation of rotating the daggers which wastes too much time to justify the extra hit ( assuming this was to help with assassinating big targets for a true assassin build).
