I know!!! I wanted to dive in and claim my Secret of Arcana but had 0 spells to work with. How epic was that battle though?! And how many songs of victory did the bards write? Haha

    So proud :,)

You know Northwind will be doing miniscule damage though? With your resistances you'll be getting less than 5dps on Adept, closer to 1 or 2 on Master.

Yeah it's meant to do minuscule damage in order to simply summon the ancient dragonborn which is the goal of the spell. Any damage North Wind deals to enemies is just a nice bonus. The spirit's Battleaxe, shouts, and generally aggressive nature is the real treat and this is the only way to safely (kind of lol) summon him without taking damage from an enemy.

I thought Blizzard didn't actually do any damage to your character? It's just the stuff it swings around that hits your character and harms you?

No I believe Noodles confirmed that it created an effect that damaged the player too. I think Ben was the one convinced it was flying objects. Next time you cast either spell, note how the damage is applied in a constant pattern as opposed to random damage from said objects. Or try casting it with no objects anywhere in sight. It still damages you in the same pattern. Good questions though :)

My Avatar sense was tingling. Allow me to clarify this. Blizzard has a very (VERY) small chance of applying an effect known as Ice Hazard on the player. When this happens, the character takes the same damage from Blizzard as any other hostile npc. This happened three times during my nymph's playthroughs.

I'll do some testing myself but I was taking damage every time I cast North Wind. It was minuscule but it was consistent.
