This build is another severely underrated one. It just works so well mechanically, giving a juicy character to go along with the (dare I say it) overpowered character. But OP in a good way, I mean, in that it's unique, makes sense, and has some crazy-awesome synergy in it.

This has been on my short list of builds to play since it came out (I even downloaded the page in pdf form and sent it to my Kindle app. If I ever find the time to play a build rather than create one... it's going to be this ;D

This build gets everything right, the evil necromamtic power to raise the dead, silent and deadly illusion magic for stealthy subterfuge, and of course an impenetrable armor rating, high recovery factor, and sword summoned straight from oblivion to allow for that dark crusader style combat. Best build I've ever played. +1

How important is the Heavy Armor skill for this build? I am finding it difficult to raise and not enjoying the lack of running / overweight because of it. Then again i am only like lvl 15 or so and wearing steel.

I personally really liked the Heavy Armor not only for the aesthetic, but because I like to dive into the battles with my summons. You could very well drop down robes and mage armor, maybe even light armor if you really want to. I tried wearing just clothes as I was testing and it definitely didn't give me the feel I was looking for, but if it works for you then by all means! PS. Sorry for the late reply lol

To me nothing is more bad ass than a mage clad in heavy armor.
