So, by opening this book, I can only guess you wish to learn about it’s subject, eh? Well, the tale I weave is true, though slightly embellished. It is both horrifying, and tragic. Well, sit back, rest by a fire, as I weave you the tale of.....

    cooltext1757757912.png

Our story begins about, five years after Molag Bal’s attempted conquest of Nirn. A young lord of Northpoint, having brought his House back into power, is celebrating his son’s coming of age. That is, until a ragged messenger brings news. The Lord of Farrun, a Redguard by the name of Namasur Hawker, is marching his forces to seize Northpoint, and its ports. The Fallen Lord journeyed far and wide, seeking an old hermit who had been rumored to have great power. They met, and power he gained, but at a cost. Resurrected as a vampire, he managed to save his people, but they grew to fear him. As he slept, his castle was ablaze by a number of the townsfolk. He managed to escape, but his family was not so lucky. Clad in black, a greatsword on his back, he vanished from memory.....

Race: Breton. The few surviving accounts and paintings of the man show a pale skinned Breton, light eyes, a thin beard, and ebony hair reaching to his chin.

Standing Stone: It is said that his crown, forged by the Dwemer, could allow one to be blessed by a Standing Stone, alongside the one they were born under. He has been said to be of the Lord and Lady.

Stat Placement: The Fallen Lord was said to be vastly skilled in Magic (4), and his training left him in peak physical condition (H:2 S:2)

Major Skills:It has been said he mastered the art of wielding a Two-Handed blade, Light Armor, Enchanting, and Lightning-based Destruction magic.

Minor Skills: A few other skills the Fallen Lord is said to posses is mastery over Conjuration, Speechcraft, or possibly Illusion, and Sneaking.

Shouts: It is believed that the Fallen Lord was Dragonborn, due to the few who have seen him have seen him use that ancient power, though some could just be his vampiric powers. Witnesses have reported his use of Ice Form, Storm Calling, Slowing Time, Becoming Ethereal, Whirlwind Sprinting, and Elemental Fury.

    cooltext1757844861.png

There have been many conflicting reports of what the Fallen Lord wields and wears, but there are two which are constant (Modded and Unmodded), I have committed them to page here, so you may know if you spot him.

    Vanilla:

download (8).jpgVampire Armor-The Fallen Lord has been said to wear cloak like armor, black as night. (Black Vampire Armor enchanted with Fortify Conjuration and Destruction/Illusion)

Nightingale Boots and Gauntlets-It is said the boots and gauntlets of the Fallen Lord were granted to him after he made an unofficial pact with Nocturnal.

Amulet of Talos/Bloodstone Amulet-Multiple sources have mentioned the Fallen Word wearing either an Amulet of Talos, or a silver amulet with a polished garnet in the center. (Silver Jeweled Amulet enchanted with Health Regen and Fortify Two-Handed)

Ring of Namira-It has been said the Fallen Lord drinks the blood of the living, and of the freshly dead.

Redeemer-The Fallen Lord is believed to wield

two greatswords, one was his original, the second, Redeemer, was forged after his turn to Vampirism. (Ebony Greatsword enchanted with Absorb Health and Banish.)

Ebony Greatsword-The Fallen Lord preferred a two-handed for intimidation sake, the sword being a family heirloom. (Unechanted for use with Elemental Fury)

Arcanus-Even though he preferred the use of a greatsword, the Fallen Lord kept a dagger at his side, which he imbued with his magical abilities. (Blade of Sacrifice enchanted with Shock Damage and Absorb Magicka)

download (9).jpgShrouded Cowl-In order to escape the heat of the sun, and to bring fear to his foes, the Fallen Lord pulls the hood of his armor up.

    Modded:

    Similar:

    Redeemer (Ebony Longsword)

    Nightingale Gauntlets and Boots

Contractor Armor and Hood/”Night Lurker” Armor and Hood-The most commonly held accounts of the Fallen Lord show him wearing armor under a tattered black, hooded long-coat.

Ebony Longsword-It has been said the Fallen Lord wields a longsword in two hands, one of Ebony.

Amulet of Bats-Rumors persist that the jewlery this dark avenger wears, are actually powerful vampire artifacts, one allows life leeching bats to assault his foes..... (play.additem XX0068ae XX stands for the load order of Dawnguard)

The Ring of the Beast-..While the second was a curious looking ring, making the Fallen more durable, as well as increasing his attacks when (XX00e7fd)

    cooltext1762665661.png

The Fallen Lord has been said to vanish into mists before his enemies’ eyes, reappearing behind one them, and slaying a strike across their back. Time seems to slow as he, always moving, slices his enemies to ribbons with quick slashes of his ebony blade. With Redeemer, so they say, the blade banishes conjured creations, while absorbing the life of those physical creatures, replenishing his own. Felling a foe, he either raises them, or conjures his own beings, to fight with him. Utilizing a combination of Fear and Frenzy spells, he thins out the crowd, weakening the strongest. If he is ever surrounded, he will become intangible mist, before striking once more. Dragons are no trouble for he, a Breton, for his race’s ability to absorb magicka, as well as his powerful shock spells will leave them weakened for his sword. The Fallen Lord has been known to ingest potions to increase his abilities.

It is wise not to face the Fallen Lord at night, for that is when he is at his strongest.

The Fallen Lord laying waste to a Thalmor fort.

    cooltext1762740655.png

Main Quest-Even though he may seem like a being of wanton death and devastation. the Fallen Lord retains fragments of his humanity, so, upon hearing of the Dragon threat, rumors circulate of spotting him at every dragon sighting

Dawnguard-Here is the trickiest part of his tale, for, you see, no one can make up their minds over whether he took over Harkon’s Court, keeping his servants from feeding on the innocent, or aided the Dawnguard in wiping out the Volkihar menace.

Dragonborn-Both the Skaal of norhtern Solstheim, and the townspeople of Raven Rock report a black cloaked figure inquiring about a Dragon Priest known as Miraak, possibly, if the rumors are true, to stop another invasion of not only Solstheim, but all of Tamriel.

The Final Descent-Miner Cretius Corelius has given his accounts of the Fallen Lord helping him find evidence of the East Empire’s treachery.

The College of Winterhold-The Fallen Lord, when he was living, was said to be a dedicated study of all the arcane, so, aiding the College would fit his personality, and his talent for leadership could validate the rumors of him attaining the rank of Archmage.

The Whispering Door-Jarl Baalgruff has given his account of the Fallen Lord aiding in curing his son, with an Ebony katana on his back. Old tales mention the Fallen first making pacts for power with Mephala, for the Ebony Blade, prior to Redeemer.

The Black Star-As well as betraying her sister Azura, with the help of an Altmer Wizard. The souls he uses must be used in the recharging of his items.

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood-In my travels, I have heard Imperial officers and guardsmen whispering of a black cloaked reaper falling on the weakened assassins, slaying them in cold blood.

The Thieves Guild-Old rumors persist that the Fallen Lord regained his family’s wealth through thievery and underhanded tactics.

Laid to Rest-Jarl Ravencrone, as well as her citizens, have reported the black cloaked nightwalker aiding in solving the case of a man accused of kinslaying, and of stopping a legendary master vampire.

The Fallen Lord rescues Thorold Grey-Mane from the Thalmor.

    cooltext1762882560.png

    • The Fallen Lord has never been seen unnecessarily harming an innocent, especially children.

    • He never feeds on innocent civilians unless he has no other options.

    • (If on PC, set speedmult to 244 and weaponspeedmult to 2 to simulate a vampire’s speed)

    • He must drink from at least two beings per day to survive.

    • He can eat mortal food, but with less benefits than for we living.

    cooltext1762900154.png

Mist Strike-The Fallen Lord seemingly vanishes into mist before his enemies, before he apparently teleports behind them,  striking the one closest.

    Invisibility+Silent Roll behind enemies+Stand Up+Power Attack.

Bladed Whirlwind-Ingesting a tonic, time seems to slow for the Fallen Lord, as he carves through his enemies like butter. Elixir of the Berzerker+Exlixir of Alteration+Slow Time+Ebony Longsword/Greatsword

Night’s Harbinger-The Fallen Lord temporarily eclipses the sun, before taking on a monstrous form. Auriel’s Bow+Bloodcursed Arrow+Vampire Lord form+Supernatural Reflexes

Wither-The Fallen Lord drains his target, causing them to fall to their knees, while he drains their life. Drain Life+Scroll of Paralyze+Redeemer+Drain Health poison.

Kudos to Alice, for the amazing Perk Spread,

And kudos to a friend, who does not wish to be named, for the screenshots.

I can tell by the build that you did put alot of effort in this. A few things though:

    - If I were you I would make the screenshots bigger, now they don't really catch the eye, and are hard to see what's being showed on them, so making them bigger and maybe centered would help out alot.

    - During the abbilities, skills, race and stats section, I could count about 7 times the words 'It has been said' . I don't want to sound like some grammar nazi (especially since English is not my native language) but you might want to put more variation in that, because reading the same thing at the start of each sentence is quite annoying, as if the maker didn't put much effort in the build. Which is not the case, so I would replace that aswell

For the rest it's a good build and I'm giving it a +1 for the effort ;)

Pretty good job here Chris, just a few things:
Technically, that first gear section should not be called vanilla, as vampire armor is for Dawnguard.
With the amulet of bats, I'm pretty sure you can get it legitimately via the quest amulets of night power, but correct me if I'm wrong.
It seems to me that the modded section is just an aesthetic change, but for some reason in the modded section you replace the ring of namira with the ring of the beast. Ring of the beast is not added by a mod - choose one of the two or leave it up to the player.
You use the shrouded cowl, which provides a bonus to archery. Surely the shrouded hood (which boosts sneak) would be better?
Now, I'm pretty sure there's a bug with the sneak stealth perks. How you can only take 2/5 or you'll become EASIER to detect rather than harder.
Why is the picture of nightingale boots so much bigger than the gloves? Try and resize them.
And finally, what does the book "annals of the Dragonguard" have to do with the fallen lord? Why not use the open cover of, say, immortal blood (it fits, I think)?
With all those mods though, a recommended mods section wouldn't be amiss.
I've just noticed that you use the Aetherial crown because you're using two separate stones, but you don't mention it in the equipment spread. It's confusing.
Sorry if I sound a bit harsh. Great job here though, Chris. I especially like those tactics. +1.

Vanilla generally refers to a modded version of the game, to my knowledge, and the DLC are official. The reason I put Amulet of Bats was because I joined up with the Dawnguard, ergo, no way to get it legit, as for the Ring of the Beast. I mixed up the Cowl and the Hood when I wrote this, I play on PC, and, as far as I know, the glitch doesn't apply to PC. I tried to reIe the. Nightingale Boots, and it was normal size, but when I clicked add, it went huge again. The reason I used Annals of the Dragonguard is because I like the cover better.

Great build, man! Definitely a well earned +1. I love the writing style and the mod choices (I used the Contractor armor on my character, too). There is definitely a lot of thought and work in the build and I'm sure your work will be recognized and reach a high rank

PS: In the comment above me, you said Vanilla is referring to a modded game. I need to correct you, the unmodded, out-of-the-box game is called Vanilla ;)

Ah, I thought that applied to any non official add ons. Also, I meant to type non modded, but I forgot that.

    Great build my friend.
