All my childhood, I idolized soldiers. I wanted to be like them, fight against the evil's in the world. I was taught how to wield a sword at a very young age, and it wasn't long after that I joined the army, The Empire was recruiting warriors to fight against the Thalmor. I was there when the Empire started the war, and when they ended it by betraying us all. That very moment caused me to hate the Imperials.

That was 30 years ago, and now I live in a camp outside Dark Water Crossing, living off the wild. A few days ago I decided to join the fight against the Empire. I headed north to Windhelm, but not long after my depart, I was captured by Imperials, loaded onto a cart, and from what I hear, on to my death.

    Talos save us all....

Race: Nord, a true son of the North

Birth Stone: The Lord, extra protection is always a necessity for any warrior

    Leveling Stats:

    0 in magicka

    • 3 in Health
    • 2 in Stamina

No use for magicka, no magic used in build. Stamina is needed because of the fighting style that is used (explained more in gameplay).

Heavy Armor- Unlike his brothers, the Stormblade clads himself in the armor of his fathers. This makes him a warrior of sheer, brute force.

Two Handed- The Stormblade prefers the heavy weapons. His wields Frostmir, the sword of his ancestors.

Block- No shield? No problem! The Stormblade uses his sword to stop his enemies weapons from piercing his armor.

Alchemy- The Stormblade is a true son of the North, he knows the nature of Skyrim. He knows what plants will kill, and what ones will heal.

Sneak- Unlike most warriors, The Stormblade hides in the shadows before attacking. He watches them, and slowly takes them out, one by one.

Archery- When hiding in the shadows the Stormblade will use his bow to kill large masses of enemies from a far.

Smithing- Every warrior should know how to forge his arms and armor.

    Chest: Nordic Carved Armor

    Boots: Nordic Carved Greaves

    Gloves: Nordic Carved Gauntlets

    Helmet: Stormcloak Officer Hood

Sword: Frostmir (Nordic Greatsword w/ Ice)

Bow/Arrows: Nordic Bow w/ Nordic Arrows

First off, you want to join the Stormcloaks as soon as possible. This will open up a lot of other quests, as well as enhance your gameplay experience.

Combat is all about fancy footwork, and hitting at the right time. There is no special moves, or attacks, just pure hack and slash. Move around and attack when your opponent least expects it. Bash them when they attack, and dash to the side and swing at them.

The other part of this build, combat-wise, is sneaking and ambushing. You don't hear of many characters that use heavy armor and sneak, but this is one of the rare occasions that a build does. You use sneak when you are highly out-numbered. Hide in the bushes or in the shadows and then slowly take people out one by one. Once most of them are dead, or if they find you, rush in there and finish off the rest with some shouts, and a few swings of Frostmir.

Your only kind of enemies that will pose any problem are archers. They can deal a lot of damage before they even reach you, and most of the time they have others with them. You will have to do a lot of fancy footwork to dodge those arrows. Another great way to deal with them, is the slow time shout. This will allow you to easily maneuver around.

Mages aren't any threat to you because of the Lord stone. While you will still take a bit of damage, the Lord stone gives you a huge boost to magic resistance. This allows you to take care of those pesky magic wielders with ease.

Other melee fighting enemies are the easiest of them all. Block their hits, then hit them with your sword, and then repeat. Your heavy armor, and extra armor from the lord stone should be enough to deflect any serious damage from being dealt.

    • First off, you should always be helping people in need. That means give to the poor, destroy the dark brotherhood, take up bounties, and help out people in distress.
    • Without any surprise, this build does not use any magic.
    • Worship the divines (mainly Kyne and Talos)
    • When not off fighting, stay with Stormcloak camps (and if you have the frostfall mod, set up your own tent right next to theirs)

The Stormblade is good-aligned, meaning that he won't be doing anything related to crime. So the Thieves guild is out, Dark Brotherhood, and Daedric quests.

    Necessary-

    • Main Quest
    • Stormcloaks
    • Dragonborn
    • Destroy the Dark Brotherhood
    • Skaal Village Quests
    • Bounty quests

    Optional-

    • Blood on the Ice
    • Kynes Sacred Trials
    • Greybeards/Blades
    • Forsworn Conspiracy

I want to thank the following people:

    • Everybody who helped critique me and make me the builder I am now
    • And to the people who suggested the name

I really liked playing this build, and I hope that you all really enjoy it too. Any suggestions are highly welcomed and I will try to respond to everybody's questions as soon as I can.

I was thinking of enlarging the pics, but when I previewed how it looked, the text got really messed up and ended up in the wrong places. So that won't work out sadly. But thanks for the suggestions

Not bad at all. It's unusual to see a build this simple, but this actually looks like it'd be a blast to play.

Curse nailed the perk spread. I appreciate the simplicity of the build, and how easily it fits into the setting. Did you mean for the recommended quests header to be in the middle of the paragraph like that?

Eh, that's "self-promotion" not selfless. Selflessness is you're giving no thought for yourself, only for others.

And here it is. Probably my favourite type of character to roleplay. Well done :).
