Lore: "The Imperial Knights are an obscure knightly guild of Tamriel representing the upper echelons of the Imperial Legion. They do not serve as field commanders as such, but rather as the militaristic nobility of the Empire." Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page

Race: Imperial is the best choice for this build for a few reasons:

    - They get bonuses to most of the skills needed: Heavy Armor, 1-Handed, Block, and Restoration

    - They fit the Lore the best because I based this build off of the Imperial Knights which were a group of military nobles.

Stone(s): I went with warrior in the beginning so I could level most of my skills faster, later I went with the Lord so I could get more defense (since we won't be perking Heavy Armor much)

Stat distribution: 1/3/1 Do this until you fill your mana pool to about 250, then switch to 0/3/2

Equipment: Dawnguard Heavy Armor, Dawnguard Full Helm, Steel Plate Gauntlets, Steel Plate Greaves. Silver Sword, Imperial Bow--> Auriels Bow, Dawnguard Shield.

    (No Enchantments)

Level 40 perk layout for: Honorbound

    Skills

One-Handed- This is your main source of fighting. You will use your sword in most situations, aside from dragon fights. You use a shield with it, magic with it, etc. (Major)

Heavy Armor- This is not a largely perked tree but it is an important one. Most of the perks in this are quite pointless (*cough* fists of steel *cough*) or they require a matching set, since you don't wear a matching set, you only have a few perks (Minor)

Restoration- This is a very important skill for this build. You are a knight dedicated to protecting your homeland of Tamriel, with the Dawnguard DLC they made undead/vampires a bigger threat, making restoration magic a very helpful thing when fighting off the undead. (Major)

Marksmanship- Marksmanship is not overly used in this, but it is still important. This is only used in cases such as a dragon battle, or when there is an on-coming enemy far away. It is helpful to have and is very useful. (Minor)

Block- This is one of the most important parts, when you aren't using magic or marksmanship, you must have your shield out, blocking is essential to secure your survival. Whether it is blocking arrows, or bashing away your opponents, or even stopping a blade from cutting off your head. You need block (Very Major)

First off, you want to join the Dawnguard and the Imperials as soon as possible. This is where you will get your spells, armor, and RP bonuses.

Combat is pretty basic, you charge in with your sword and shield ready and hack and slash at your opponent. You do have some movement involved though, while you do block you don't want to just let your enemy hit you, try to dodge as many hits as possible and only swing when your opponent is recovering from an attack. They attack first then swing your sword before they can swing again. When you use your magic, don't rush into battle, but rather wait for them to come to you, shoot them with your spells, cast some Aura spells (Stendarr's Aura, Circle of protection) and when they do reach you, hit them with your sword. At that time they should be dead. Archery is basic, you shoot them until they come within reach of your sword. Simple as that.

Shouts and Powers are a big part of the build too, when you get over-run by a large mass of enemies (such as when storming Castle Volkhier) use your Emperors Voice power and use that time period to recover and heal. You will be a Dragonborn in this, meaning that shouts will be part of combat. The important shouts are: Fire Breath, Frost Breath, Become Etheral, Whirlwind Sprint, Unrelenting Force, and Slow Time.

Your enemies will consist of Bandits, Vampires, Dragons, Beasts, Creatures, and anything else that seeks to harm the innocent and the defenseless.

When I wasn't fighting I decided to become an actual citizen of Skyrim and live like a normal noble would. Since I was part of the Empire I bought two homes: Proudspire Manor and Heljarchen Hall. Both of these homes are near Solitude (Proudspire is in it) meaning that you have easy access to the major city. I married (didn't beat my wife), adopted children, got guards, a steward, furnished my house, etc. This really adds to the RP of being a noble warrior.

This was the most fun that I have ever had with Skyrim. I thought that being some Warrior dedicated to protecting Skyrim just made the game more appealing.

    - This is a rework of my build since there were some errors with my first one, hopefully this is better.

-Thanks to Vulfar for his screenshots

    Enjoy!

Looks good but needs some more work. I am not judging at all. I can't remember what else you need to add and maybe it's just because it seems too small to me but read some of the legendary builds and see what you haven't got. Good work so far though.

Yeah, I saw that it was a bit short and I couldn't really find anything else to put in it, I got all the essentials down so I have a lot of time to re-vise it

umm...does these seem eerily similiar to ponty's paladin build?

How is this similar to his build, because he is a good warrior who fights for honor? There are plenty of builds like that. And this isn't a paladin build, he fights other kinds of creatures besides undeaed

Okay everybody, It has been re-done. Hopefully this is better

    You're welcome, mate.

Nice build, nice presentation, nice everything if a bit small. Although, I'd never join the Imperials (one time is enough), it was a fun play. This definetely deserves to get out of the Bloodworks.

    +1

It was tough for me to make an Imperial, I am always Stormcloaks. Right now I am doing a side character who is a Nordic Barbarian for the Stormcloaks. Just got the mod "Beards" so he is going to have a sick beard
