So, here I am again with my 5th build. The previous one went better than expected and I want to thank you all for your support. I tried to make something different this time. One class, five paths. Let's get down to it.

Bard once, bard forever.Born in Cyrodiil, you were raised to become a legionnaire. Although, the Imperial City was the only place you had ever seen, you always had a hunger for travelling. You wanted to see new places, learn new stories, taste foreign snacks, explore. You wanted to sit around the campfire with your companions and tell your stories about how you defeated a troll, while someone was playing a drum battle rhyme. You wanted to explore the wonders the Dwemer created, discover long lost cities and song about great battles that one day, will be written in history.

When the Dominion passed through the gates of the Imperial City, they placed a sword in your hand and thew you into the battlefield. You were still young then, and had no experience from battles. Your mother screamed when an elf shoot a massive fireball out you, blowing you on the air, above the walls and in a small lake. Hel, if it wasn't that lake you'd be dead by now.

Your father was already on the middle of the battlefield. A ferocious warrior with a sword in each of his hands. He took many lives before falling like a true hero, just outside the gates.

The battle was won, but the dead were far too many. You were badly hurt. They found your body and carried it to the healers.

Some years later, the war was over. The empire signed the treaty with the Dominion and there could be finally be peace (no no). Your services were no longer needed, so you were free to do whatever you wanted.

The world was ahead of you.

You grabbed a lute and started playing at inns, about the fallen brothers and sisters. About your father. What started as a cry of sadness made you popular around the city. That's when you decided that this was what you wanted to do with your life. No place for you in the middle of the battle grounds any more. No place for you in wars and slaughters. Your place is behind the front lines, drum in hand, sweet songs in mouth. Mighty songs about the afterlife, about honor, about death and glory.

You are the one that prepares the men to enter the Halls of Valor. You are the voice of the birds in the sky, as the sun rises. You are the sound of the rain in the pine forest and the vicious wolf that howls in the night. You are death and life. Your battle horn sounds to the holy Halls of Valor, your words can take a man to far away places, places full of horror and happiness. From frozen lands full of trolls and giants to the warm sands of the south. Your lute is your horse and your words your journey.

So, your true life starts now. What you will do now is what you will be remembered for. No land is far enough. No cliff too high. No mountain too cold. No sands too hot.

No troll too powerfull. No giant too tall. No horse too hardy. No wolf too fearsome. No world too big for you.

Everything that happens in your life, will be memorized in a song. A song sung at an inn. A song that will one day inspire a young girl to put on some leather armor and go adventure in the pines.

There is no such thing as "small" act of kindness. Everything you do changes everything around you. The gold coin you will give to a beggar will keep him alive for one day longer. The dragon you will slay will make sure he is not going to burn down more villages. The song you will sing will make a soldier put away his fear and charge into battle ferociously.

Your destiny brought you to the Fatherland. A perfect place for a traveler, a bard, to shine. Dragons in the sky, battles on the earth, hunter and prey in the woods, sweet ale at the inns.

Talsgar the Wanderer (I do not own this one).

    Nord.

    0/2/1.

    The Steed.

    Instrument of choice: Drum.

    Level 15

    Level 30

    Level 51

Full Ancient Nord Armor. Amulet of Talos.

    Nord Hero Battleaxe.

The Traditional Skald is the classic honor bound Nord. Ferocious warrior, war singer, Talos worshipper. He hates the Thalmor from the day they killed his father in the Imperial City. They are searching him for years. He is good at hiding in the woods and great at fighting.

He knows the bard from the "Flight from the Thalmor" book. He met him at High Rock about a month before the Thalmor kidnap him, at Markarth.

The Skald prefers to write songs about war, tales of bravery, the Gods and Sovngarde. He has finally escaped the Thalmor by making Windhelm his home and joining the Stormcloaks. So, the essential quests are the Bard's College of course, and the Civil War. After the Civil War, Skyrim is free from elves, so you may go freely and have some great adventures, and remember, after each good adventure make sure to stay a night or two at an inn, have some mead and play some epic songs about the sons of Skyrim!

(Everyone out there who know one or two things about me, will probably know how much I hated playtesting this dude^).

    Imperial. Make him barbie looking.

    2/1/0.

    The Serpent.

    Instrument of choice: Lute.

    Level 15

    Level 30

    Level 50

High-class clothes you bought. You have to buy them. Not loot them from an old dirty chest in a bandit fort. Your pretty barbie hands are too sacred to touch something like this.

Highest level dagger you can find enchanted with soul trap and paralysis. Be sure it isn't iron, steel, orcish or any other of these monstrosities. Your beautifull little hands deserve better.

    Dafuq am I writing.

Alright, to be honest with you, I hate playing highborn milkdrinkers and the Noble is the f*cking king of them. This was supposed to be a low level build 'cause there is no way someone like him would become so powerfull, while when he sees blood on his clothes he passes off. But screw it, I know there are some dudes out there who like playing with ponies and barbies so take it.

The Noble is not a combat based character. He likes to wear expensive attires and walk around palaces enjoying the luxury of the empire. His main sourse of gold comes from trade. Buy soul gems, sell enchanted items. That's how it goes. Good quests are Azura's Star and Bard's College. You may also consider joining the College of Winterhold for spells and training.

Also, of course you won't perform to filthy inns full of drunkern peasants. You perform only for Jarls and Kings and you never walk to your destination. There is a reason they created carriages.

Any. Really. But Mage based races are best suited for the skills. I made a Redguard.

    3/1/1.

    The Lord.

    Instrument of choice: Flute.

    Level 15

    Level 30

    Level 50

Master Robes of Alteration for combat. A nice set of clothes and boots for everyday.

Magic. When magic runs out, draw your fire enchanted sword and finish them off.

The Traveler is a master of Alteration magic, and an adept at Illusion and Destruction. He prefers fire magic (fire spells are going pretty well with aspect of terror once intense flames are unlocked) and fear spells. If his health starts to going dangerously low, he will heal himself with the basic Healing spell as he is a novice in Restoration. Finally, when his magicka runs out, he will draw his fire enchanted sword and charge like a true nor... redguard.

He likes travelling (obviously) and never stays in one place for more than a day, unless of course he has things to do. He prefers to perform at inns like Old Hroldan, in the middle of nowhere, and spend his time outside camping and adventuring.

Good quests are Bard's College, the College of Winterhold, bounty and Thane quests.

Always searching for a decent song to make.

Again, any. I was really close in picking Argonian, but I picked Breton in the end (sorry Tae).

    0/2/1.

    The Lady.

    Instrument of choice: Lute.

    Level 15

    Level 30

    Level 50

    Leather, Studded or Scaled Armor.

No highest level than Orcish sword and dagger. I preferred the Iron sword+orcish dagger combination.

The Wanderer is pretty much an agile warrior, always carrying only the essentials on his back and always curious about this particular cave. He loves sitting at an inn to enjoy a good drink by the fire, but he never drinks enough to get himself drunk. You know what else he loves? CRABS.

When you feel like hunting, your first choice will be to search nearby rives and lakes for mudcrubs. Their chitin and legs are soooo tasty if you know how to clean them.

Good quests here are the civil war (which side is YOUR choice vote for stormcloaks), becoming thane of every hold, the Bard's College, the Companion's and the Dawnguard.

Note: If you are fighting against mages and for some reason you don't have arrows to shoot them, just don't fight them. GET THE F*CK OUT OF HERE.

    Any. Nord for me.

    1/2/1.

    The Lover.

    Instrument of choice: Everything.

    Level 15

    Level 30

    Level 50

Tavern Clothes and any kind of boots you like.

Iron Mace (I like low level items) or Ebony Mace (meh).

Take a follower with you and give them an instument. Start wandering from place to place with him, searching for new stories to sing, while still stopping at any inn or any palace you meet in your travels to perform to jarls and drunkards. As much as you like sleeping in a warm bed, you love sleeping around a campfire with your company and tell stories about your encounters with strange creatures.

Enter combat the classic bardic way, by casting a flesh spell and smashing your foe's head with your mace. When your health falls down or when fighting against the undead use restoration magic. As for ranged combat you will be using crossbows. No Dawnguard? Oh well. Use classic bows. Your main source of gold is from treasures you find in your travels and rewards for different deeds.

Good quests are the Bard's College, the Companions, the civil war and the College of Winterhold, although it would be better if you wouldn't complete the quests, as you are a bard, not a Harbinger or an all powerfull Archmage.

Check my page for more builds!

    "Olaf!".

Oh, one more thing. You know Malukah, don't ya? Well, I could put this to autostart everytime you entered the build, but I know you would start singing along and couldn't read. So, feel free to press "play" and enjoy the voice of a fine bard!

Just glanced over it, but this looks great overall. I'm pretty new to the site, so I can't really say what needs to be improved. Well done!

    Thank you mate.

I just read through it and it seems really good ( I could really feel your hatred for The Noble path )

    1+

    Hehehehe .

    Thanks!

Another Nice Build an easy +1 from me. And I love how you added a Malukah!!! video - her voice is just wow.

I was a bit disappointed when I found out our characters could not play the instruments - and I hoped for a DLC with that option, but alas it never came.

Nice build man +1, but I have ta ask, where did you get that sweet curly writing art?
  • July 14, 2014

Aye, I was stuck at my xbox for 2 years and I was melting for this Become a Bard mod whenever I played a bard. Finally, after 2 years I had enough septi... money to buy a pc, and guess what. I broke the monitor.

But now I am all good, I bought a new monitor and enjoy an adventurous bardic life .

I'm going to start out by saying I'm not a huge fan of these multi paths sort of characters. I have to ask how on earth you managed to play all 5 of these to level 50 especially when 3 of them use Restoration. I love the artwork as usual with your builds and like that the Perk Spreads are all easy to read though I have to wonder why you have the spreads and links for the perk calculator. I like the different roleplays for each of them but though the wanderer and traveler and very similar names I did like the Skald and Band though. This is the sort of build/s that makes me wish you could play instruments +1 from me.
