Oh yeah... I thought I had moved away from the sword and board play style, but this brings me right back! Light armor and conjuration... right on! Bound weapons... Right on! Hero with a dark side... Right on!

    Gentlemen, right on! :D

Evidently I'm not finished... Great character selection as well. I alway really admired Savlian Matius--he did great things with absolutely nothing to work with. Yeah, he does kind of get the short end of the stick when you roll into Kvatch. Again, great choice!

Love this choice of character, and your guys take on the sacking of Kvatch through his eyes.

I also really love your choice of shield. I don't often play with shields, nor leveled items for that matter, but this is one of my favorites, and one I feel is unfairly overlooked. That enchantment is a veritable synergy factory, and you guys used it perfectly here. And level 25 is really not too bad to wait for such a useful and relevant item.

I also like the use of expelling/banishing/controlling enemy summons. I've never really experimented with that play style, but it sounds quite appealing.

Why Ulfric's Bracers for the glove slot? Seems like even a weak light armor would be a better option. I know Block will provide a ton of protection, but for those times where you are unable to get your shield up, this guy must take a serious beating. One of the weakest armor sets in the game, with no helm and very little AR from his boots/gloves.

Kind of concerned about later levels and/or higher difficulties winding up as drawn out bouts where you spend 90% of your time cloistered behind that shield. Was the low AR a problem for you guys at all?

I've found that 0AR is feasible with the block cap and Quick Reflexes. Just watch those kill cams :p

Besides, they mention Fortify Light Armor enchants and the hidden armor bonus for wearing three pieces of armor is still a good boost. Edit: And The Lord Stone! They'll probably be sitting around 300 AR which isn't too bad.

Thank you Teccam and Alastor :)

Surprisingly no, I had very few issues with my AR. This is one of the  few builds I've played on Master difficulty from Helgen to finish (most often I'll start out on expert until about level 20 or so) and rarely died in all that time. I think around about the mid 30's I had some trouble with Lurkers as their power attacks do a shit ton of damage. However, a combination of Conjuration and Archery allowed me to deal massive damage from afar because the bound bow is so powerful while my summon acted as a distraction.

The choice of Ulfric's Bracers was mainly for aesthetics: We knew we'd never be having a huge AR so we wanted to find a set that looked like chainmail or complimented the cuirass.

The playstyle was really good fun. I know it looks quite basic but this skillset really has all your bases covered and work in synergy with each so well as to make the game lovely, fluid and never dull.

I must have just missed this getting posted! Nice job guys!!

I'd maybe drop that oblivion mug shot of Savlian, but I adore that final shot, that's really cool!! I like the push at using the banish/control spells in conj too, those ones get seriously neglected!

"Murdering traveling mercenaries and adventurers so that he can always be the hero adds an interesting, dark twist to a character who had been so courageous and noble in his former life."

That's very twisty guys, I like it...

I love that you flipped the script on this.  One of my favorite roleplay elements on here!
