Silenced Tongues seemed a good option because I only needed to toggle one quest in my journal for both markers, it can be done with other quest items as well, I used Meridias Beacon during one playthrough.

Would be good to find the most menial misc quest to do the trick with, I tried that amulet of Arkay in Whiterun HotD but it didn't work.

    Thanks Teccam!

Didn't know about that Jake, just been and checked out a mod that fixes the problem apparently. I guess it's worth knowing that you can give your thralls a significant boost when you enter a really tough cell. Liars Retreat for example, that place is a nightmare...

Mason, i just wanted to say after months of looking at your blog and your builds i have literally joined the site just so i can thank you.

Your builds are amazing and i love all the back story and unique artwork. I have especially enjoyed the volkihar build.

Awesome build! Just a quick question, how long does it take for you to reach 100 in conjuring?

I have a mage with 96 in conjuring using bound weapons and Dremora Lord and it takes AGES to get it to 100.

    Absolutely.

It levels pretty quickly when you summon the Bound Sword in combat; when the red dots appear on the radar.

    Bound Weapons are aweshum.

If you methodically raise every dead body (using raise zombie always), cast a fresh bound sword, then shield bash the zombie 4 times before killing it and moving onto the next one conjuration levels like crazy. Bleak falls barrow is excellent for this. That first room with all the dead bandits and skeevers? XP heaven! I was the best part of level 50 in conjuration before leaving that room. Remember the mage stone and well rested bonuses too.

Does anyone know how much magic is needed to cast dead thrall with 100 conjuration and the master perk?

Yep but the problem is that without 100 in conjuration you don't have the Master perk and the spell costs 600 mana to cast :/

I ll have to try that :D Dead Thrall costs 618 mana un-perked and 309 with the master perk

The necromancers amulet would be ideal for this - you'd only have to wear it to cast the spell. So that's another 25% off the spell cost and 50 extra magic. Assuming at least a novice hood that'll bring down the cost a good bit. Wouldn't like to try it without the master perk though!

Also ... Rattlecage? D2? If so, nice reference.
