„These hands were made for bending steel... not mending bonemold.

But, it's certainly better than not working at all.”

    -         Glover Mallory

    4E 201 --- 15th of Sun's Dusk, somewhere near Riften

It's raining heavily. The clouds cover the moon as his giant Warhammer clashes down on the head of his grinning foe. The blood splashes over the dark green grass. He's breathing heavily. His heart is beating fast, faster than before. “Phew… this Thalmor guys surely know how to put up a fight.” His breathing gets lighter, the adrenalin recedes. He kneels down to the corpse of the Justicar and searches his body. He finds a letter, with a broken seal.

Be on the lookout for a Nord called The Blacksmith. He is an enemy to the Thalmor, and has actively disrupted our activities and caused great harm. If spotted, you are to destroy him with extreme hatred.

Be advised, he is extremely dangerous, and quite able to defend himself. If caught by local authorities, we are unable to offer you any assistance.

For the glory of the Aldmeri Dominion!

He scrunches the letter and throws it away. “I bet that these aren't the only Justicars out here… great, just great. How am I supposed to fill the order, when I have the Thalmor on my heels?” He grunts. “Ah well… I just have to hit them on the head I guess…” He leans on his Warhammer to get up. He then straps his weapon on his back and looks up into the sky. The clouds are fading, and the moonlight shines on his face. “… I better get going its quite a way to Windhelm…”

    4E 201 --- 22nd of Sun's Dusk, Thalmor Embassy near Solitude

A high ranking military officer storms into his office, behind him another Altmer who seems to be his advisor. “How could that happen? How could a single person kill 3 of our top Justicars?” He runs up and down in front of his desk. His advisor stammers: “W…well we… we don't exactly know. I mean… we didn’t thought he would be this strong. I…I mean we heard the stories… b…but we had no reason to believe them”. His superior turns around and goes right up to him, grabbing his neck with one hand almost strangling him: “WHAT STORIES, WHO EXACTLY IS THE BLACKSMITH?!” At this Moment a third Altmer, followed by two Soldiers enters the Office. The high ranking officer lets go of his advisor and takes a deep bow “Sir… I didn't know you would be here”. The Altmer who just entered the room signals the officer to stand up. He then goes over to the desk and sits down, the officer follows him, now standing in front of his superior who starts to explain…

    The Build

We know that The Blacksmith is a Nord from Cyrodiil. He got quite the reputation down there. He's described as a Mountain of Meat, capable of fighting a Bear unarmed. His Craftsmanship is extraordinary. He doesn't simply forge weapons and armors; he is even capable of enchanting them himself. He uses Two-Handed Weapons, Warhammers to be precise. Although he's not wearing armor he can resist a lot of pain. Furthermore he handles an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow. How he got that kind of technology, we don't know. Other than that, we don't know much about him. He was involved with the companions a while back and even fought with the Dawnguard. Rumors say he wiped out the Dark Brotherhood, after they tried to kill him five times, but always failed. That's just a rumor though, and very unlikely. But we have reason to believe that he's joining up with Ulfric Stormcloak in Windhelm. That's the reason why we deployed troops to eliminate him. A man like him would prove to be too great an asset for the Stormcloaks.

    Equipment

“Every blade has to be better than the next”

The Blacksmith doesn't really have any Equipment. He's always wearing his unmistakable Blacksmith Apron, along with Gloves and normal Boots. We think he uses Alteration Magic to withstand the Damage he takes when fighting. But we also have reason to believe that he enchanted his clothes with magic. After all, he went to the Mages Guild because he wanted to learn how to enchant his weapons. That's what distinguishes him from other Blacksmiths. Our Intelligence Agency believes this is his current Equipment:

    Clothes

    Blacksmith's Apron

    1. Fortify Health Regen

    2. Fortify Stamina Regen

    Gold Necklace

    1. Resist Fire

    2. Resist Shock

    Gloves

    1. Fortify Two-Handed

    2. Fortify Archery

    Gold Ring

    1. Fortify Block

    2. Fortify Smithing

    Boots

    1. Fortify Stamina

    Weapons

    Volendrung

    Absorb 50 points of Stamina

    Daedric Warhammer

    1. Absorb Stamina

    2. Absorb Health

    Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow

    1. Paralyze

    2. Chaos Damage

Skill trees and Perks (level 60)

    Magicka (2) / Health (3) / Stamina (1)

    “Skill comes with practice”

The Blacksmith has a relatively small range of Abilities. He knows of to handle his warhammer’s and is a moderate shot. He uses Alteration Magic to withstand the Attacks, both physical and magical, of his enemies. Besides that he is known for his craftsmanship. He is able to forge Daedric Weapons and is able to enchant them as well. Alchemy skills aren't in his repertoire. Although there are some people who say he doesn't use Crossbows at all but instead is capable of Alchemy. Some even say he uses neither. We have yet to confirm that however. His Blocking skills are medial but more offensive then defensive, which is logical as he doesn't use shields.

    Combat tactics and techniques

"Show no fear, but be aware of the danger”

Our Intelligence Agency as confirmed some tactics and techniques used by The Blacksmith. If he has not yet detected or is too far away The Blackmsith uses his Crossbow to hit his enemies and paralyzes them. If the enemies aren't paralyzed and come to close he uses dual casting to cast a protective spell like Ebonyflesh, with which he has a high enough armor rating to withstand most of our physical attacks. As soon as it comes to close quarters he uses several warhammer’s, enchanted and unenchanted, to stand his ground.

We have a few confirmations on some of his most used techniques:

    Blacksmith's Rage

Requires: Warhammer (unenchanted), Berserk Potion, Elemental Fury

He takes a Berserk Potion to enhance his capabilities with the warhammer and then uses a shout that raises his attack rating to an enormous speed. With that he is able to even kill dragons in a few seconds.

    Critical Charge

Requires: Warhammer, Unrelenting Force, enough stamina for sprinting

The Blacksmith was seen using this technique when he was up against a number of enemies. To separate the most powerful enemy from the group he uses a shout called: Unrelenting Force, this causes the target to be thrown out of the group giving the Blacksmith the opportunity to run towards it and smash the warhammer down on his target. Most likely the attack will be critical and the target dies.

Fear the Dead (Victory... or Sovngarde!)

    Requires: Become Ethereal, Battle Cry

If The Blacksmith is in a near death state, he uses a shout to become Ethereal, giving him a Ghost like appearance and shield him from any harm. He then uses his Battle Cry to let his enemies flee, giving him enough time to regenerate or to retreat.

As for now that's all the Intel we have on his techniques. But we are certain there is more.

The Blacksmith is a Character to be cautious around. I'd advice to send only the best we've got!

    “Don't back down, charge instead”

Thanks for reading. This was my second Build for Skyrim, and probably the last, since I don't have any ideas what could come next. But it was certainly fun to play as a Blacksmith. I was surprised how well the warhammer’s work. To be honest I did underrated them. In this build I tried to keep the “story part” shorter than the one from my last Build. I hope you still enjoyed it. And please don't hesitate to criticize ;) Also if you liked this Build and haven't read my first one, here it is:

    The Pale Master

I'd like to thank Morta at this point, for these awesome Screenshots.

    Thanks Man!

Now it's your turn, comment, like or hate, do whatever you want to do ;)

Btw. If one of you could take some of his time and sort out the grammar mistakes etc. and send it to me, that would be terrific. English isn't my native language and I don't want to have to many mistakes in my Build. Thanks ;)

All images have been restored for this build. While I try my best to keep the formatting as close to the original as possible, there are some unavoidable differences as a result of differing platforms... for this I apologize.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.
