Hello all, I had taken a much too long break from Character building. All my other builds have been deleted, so I decided to try again. Now, without further ado, I present:

    ~The Crusader of Stendarr~

Your family were devout worshipers of Stendarr. You trained all your life to be a Crusader. You joined the Temple of Stendarr a few years back. Now, as a Knight of Stendarr, you must cleanse skyrim of the darkness corrupting it.

    ~Lore~

We, the Knights of Stendarr the Merciful call ourselves the Crusaders, for it is our sacred duty to protect the Temple and fights its battles. While we firmly espouse the Temple's philosophy of compassion and charity, we recognize that the Temple is weak, it cannot realistically survive. Only those of great combat ability and proven devotion to the Temple and the God Stendarr are eligible for possible membership in the Crusaders.

    ~Description~

This die-hard character shows the true power of Stendarr’s might.  The Crusader is skilled in using one-handed weapons, heavy armor types, and restorative magicks. The Crusader is also adept at crafting and improving his equipment.

    ~The Build~

Recommended Races: I played an Imperial and it was great, the high Restoration helped immensely. Also Breton and Altmer would be useful. Breton because the magic resistance is always useful and you can reach 100% magic absorption with the Atronach stone and Dragonskin. Also, Altmer would be useful for the racial power would help greatly, and the 50 larger magicka pool will help immensely.

Recommended Shouts: Dragonrend is essential, because without it, you have no way of combating dragons other than waiting for the to land. I also recommend unrelenting force. A good role-playing shout is disarm, to show mercy.

Major Skills: Restoration, One-Handed, Heavy Armor

    Minor Skills: Smithing, Speech (unperked)

Stat Spread: One point in each every 3 levels until 200 stamina. Once at 200 stamina, one point in Health and Magicka every 2 levels.

Perk Spread: The perks taken can be found here.

Stone: Atronach. This stone gives the Crusader a larger Magicka pool and Magic Absorption at the expense of magicka regeneration. Other possible stones are the Lord for greater defense and Lady for extra Health and Stamina regeneration.

Equipment: Improved steel plate/dawnguard heavy guantlets and novice - adept robes of restoration novice - adept hood with an improved steel/elven weapon, or go up to glass and take a glass weapon. You could ignore elven smithing and advanced armors and go up to ebony. You can do the Companions for a Skyforge Steel weapon, but do not become a werewolf.

Recommended Quests: Dawnguard (Dawnguard), Civil War (Imperials), Main Quest, Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, Dragonborn, College of Winterhold, Frostflow Abyss.

    ~Gameplay~

This character focuses around using a ward as a shield. However, a ward can be quite magicka quite magicka intensive, thus I recommend using at around 180 magicka with apprentice restoration.

When fighting powerful undead I recommend using sunfire in both hands. With necromage, this obliterates draugr wights on adept. When one-on-one with weaker to moderately strong undead, cast stendarr's aura, and do constant power attacks with the Respite perk. When combating groups of weaker to moderately strong undead, bane of the undead

When fighting bandits, or any non-undead enemy for that matter, a good strategy is to do non-stop power attacks with the Respite perk. This is very effective against any foe and goes very well with force without effort because they don't have a chance to attack because they are almost always staggered.

    ~Roleplay~

    • Join the College of Winterhold to learn more about Restoration.
    • Join the Imperial Legion as you are an upstanding citizen of the Empire.
    • Join the Dawnguard to guard Tamriel from the filthy bloodsuckers.
    • Destroy the Dark Brotherhood to help bring justice to Tamriel.
    • Help the townsfolk as long as it doesn't involve crimes or Daedra worship.
    • Uphold and protect the Temple as that is your duty as a Crusader.

    ~Closing Notes~

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy this character as much as I have. Criticism is greatly appreciated. Now go purge Skyrim with Stendarr’s light.

Well, to be frank, it is not the best build I have seen. It is a pretty typical paladin class, and it doesn't seem original. We have seen many knight and paladin like builds that use the same skills and play the same way. I'm not trying to be mean but it just is lacking in many things. You may want to add a special moves section, more armor and weapons choices, shouts that you use, and just more bulk. The build seems skimpy and there is not much to go on for lore, and you have no back story, the character is just a member of this group randomly. You don't explain how he came to join the group, or what he did before joining the group. There is no explanation as to why he joins the civil war, why he joins the College of Winterhold, or why he destroys the Dark Brotherhood. You don't even explain really what the character's goals are, everything seems to be presumed. It need a lot of work, and I hope you can improve it, because I think it will be deleted if you don't act soon. Once again I am not trying to be mean or harsh, I am trying to help you.

You've got a great presentation for sure. The concept is a little plain but could be fun. I think the build just lacks a strong motive and some good roleplay aspects. And could a Knight of Stendarr really murder Grelod? Also, Stendarr has his Vigilants which are pretty much knights. How did this other group come about?

I agree with Kyle that it needs bulking out. Also, that build name has already been taken. How about Crusader of Stendarr? Then they won't get mixed up.

Well, you could say either A. Stendarr ordered her death for her abuse of children, or B. You were asked to arrest her by the Jarl of Riften (Aventus was a witness)' and she resisted arrest, so you were forced to slay her.

    Aside from other things said:

or go up to glass and take a glass weapon. You could ignore elven smithing and go up to ebony.

OMG Elven is before glas, not before ebony, I geus u mean dwarven?
