Character Build: The Sword-Singer

Thanks Twisted. It's a beautiful set for sure. Can't wait to see what you've got in the works!

I actually came across this combo while playing Snakes's Master Monk. For my adaptation, I wanted to try to delve into the Khajiiti Temples a bit, and make my monk a master of multiple temple styles, with a different color scheme to represent each style. Unfortunately, the Khajiit ears actually poke through the Redgaurd Hood, but I knew it would be perfect for the Sword-singer.

Really Awesome build. I have a question, though. What sould I fill the White Phial with? The Fortify One-handed potion?

Well, to most closely simulate the "crystal of healing" described in Makela Leki's Memory Stone, I would encourage you to pick up the Restore Health effect for the White Phial. The choice is mostly just for roleplaying, since your own potions will far outstrip the White Phial in the endgame. Early on though, I did find myself using it as an emergency health buffer fairly regularly.

I'm sure this has already been asked, but what enchants did you use on your armour? I haven't been able to find it.

I recommend Fortify One-handed where possible. Otherwise, your choice. Good options when applicable include Fortify Light Armor, Fortify Health Regen, Fortify Stamina Regen, etc.

Since we don't pick up Extra Effect (well, you're free to if you like, of course) and the hood is pre-enchanted, that only leaves five slots for custom enchantments. Four of these can be filled with Fortify One-handed. That just leaves the cuirass, which can use any of the three effects mentioned in the previous paragraph.

If you decide you don't need four Fortify One-handed enchantments, another good option is Fortify Block. There was an amulet in Oblivion called the Amulet of the Ansei that came with a Fortify Block enchantment, so maybe you could recreate that. You might even consider Resist Magic if mages and/or dragons give you trouble, or pick up the Amulet of Talos to allow for more Elemental Fury and/or Slow Time.

Not only is this a very good build. This must be the best formatted and most good looking presentation I've seen. I think I'm going to pick up a few things from here =) Thanks!

Was thinking of roleplaying a Historian Redguard named Ishrael. Redguards are know for their pride and honor so basically Ishrael is feels that conforming to the modern ways of Redguard is dishonest. It has only caused dishonesty among the people as Redguards are now marauders, thieves and assassins.Ishrael Had heard many a story of Sword-Simgers from his grandfather(Redguards have longer lives, the oldest Redguard was 113) thus inspiring him early on to research the ways of the old before the move to Tamerieln and he has devoted his life to The Way Of The Singer. I'll roleplay it similar to that of a Samurai/Bushido. He accepts little to no gold, only what he'll need to sustain himself, offers help wherever needed and tends to migrate alot.

This is a great build! Having lots of fun playing it! Just one question, you mention there was a problem with starting as an Ansei, can you tell me why you didn't decide to start as an Ansei?

I mean, purely in terms of playability, it can work fine. I just wanted the Ansei portion of gameplay to be immediately ultrapowerful. By jumping in with the Shehai and enchanted gear right away, you instead deal with this slow progression of power as your One-handed, Alchemy, and Enchanting all develop. It still works just fine, but it doesn't offer the same sense of natural progression/training as a Sword-singer, that ultimately culminates in the reward of a fully formed Shehai.

So I guess when you get down to it, it's more about roleplay than gameplay. If you're not big on roleplaying, you should be able to incorporate Enchanting and Conjuration really at any time in the play through.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the explanation.

However, I would like to make one small suggestion, MOAR REDGUARD BUILDS THX
