Great build, I've always been a fan of Swords Singers and you've broken it down in a clear concise and nice-looking way, easy +1 for me =D

I had an interesting idea that I am using for my play through of this, I made a Nord and the backstory is that she was born at sea and spent the first several years of her life sailing all around to various ports in Tamriel. Then a particularly violent storm blew in from the Eltheric Ocean and the ship was almost completely destroyed. By sheer luck this Nord girl was able to survive and washed up on the shores of Herne. The local tribe of Yokudans raised her as one of their own and taught her the ways of the Sword-Singer. Now she is a woman grown and is curious about her homeland which is nothing more than a distant memory to her. Her arrival to Skyrim was interrupted by an Imperial raid and, well... you all know the rest =p

I am probably not the first to say this but using the Bound Sword spell goes against the RP of your Character in this build. Seeing as how Redguards are probably some of the biggest haters against Conjuration magic. However that hardly matters to me because I like the build and there are no other applicable weapons that can substitute for this RP. (DAMN YOU BETHESDA!)

Not really, conjuring a bound sword is simply the only in-game way of role playing a sword-singer who forms a Shehai (sword from their own spirit). Personally and for role-play purposes, I would only use the 'conjuration school' for the weapons, however, and drop enchanting altogether.

@ OP I don't think bound weapons are weak at all, and need no extra boost (as mention in the post), but that's another discussion. But nice work overall, and (+1).

Bound Sword is a Conjuration spell in gameplay terms but in RP terms, it's a Shehai and has almost nothing to do with Conjuration

    Tim and Red

You dudes are absolutely right. At the same time you are wrong. Its just how contradictive the idea is of substituting a Shehai in any TES game.

@Jonathan » Rune and Tim said it perfectly.

Thanks Rune. Not saying they're not viable by themselves, but I view the fact that they cannot be tempered nor enchanted as an inherent weakness. Also, I think you already know this, but it wasn't so much about having a viable Bound Sword, as about making it as close to the Shehai as possible. Based on the canon accounts of Shehai we have access to, they're über powerful, basically in a class all their own. The Alchemy and Enchanting are used to fully emulate that power. In terms of general gameplay though, I wouldn't disagree that Bound Swords can be viable at high levels.

Thanks, Tim. I like that backstory too. I'm sure you already know this, but just to avoid any false misconceptions from spreading around, we have no actual reason to believe there's anyone living on Herne right now, let alone an isolated community of Yokudan immigrants still practicing their ancient customs. :p It was just the best explanation I could come up with to justify placing a Sword-singer in 4th Era Skyrim.

But if there were such a community living on Herne, it would be fascinating to observe them. I'd be curious to see how they'd react to a wayward Nord sailor blowing into town.

It's essentially non-canon but in the Sword-Meeting written by Michael Kirkbride, there are several tribes still living in Yokuda and they do have some of their ancient sword techniques recorded in stone. Like I said, it's non-canon. But MK does have some credibility being a former Bethesda writer.

I am right and I'm wrong - now that's sounds like a Khajiit talking (or perhaps it does not).
