someone should make a Chef Ramzee mod or however you spell his name. The fourth picture looks like he is waiting to be judged on his cooking. good build plus one

Good point Vahlok.  I updated the Equipment section to point out where to get the Fork, Knife and Chef's Outfit.  The clothes are easily purchased, but tracking down the Fork and Knife can be a bit tricky if you don't know where to look.

In the early levels, you can just use standard mage attire until you've gathered the cooking gear and leveled your enchanting to an appropriate level.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing that, but just wanted to get it posted after spending the last few days getting screenshots and working out the text.  I did put a link to the perk calculator, but it's also a bit lost in the text.

I'll see what I can come up with and update the build.  Thanks for the advice. :)

Updated to include a perk spread graphic as Ben C suggested, and fleshed out the Equipment section per Vahlok The Jailor's suggestion.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.  If anyone has any more suggestions, please let me know.  This is my first build, so any tips are welcome.

I've been lurking for awhile, getting a feel for the place, and made the final decision to join because of how awesome this sounds. Love it.

I did describe the basic idea in the Gameplay section.  I spent most of the time playing more like a spellsword.  Keep your main enchanted dagger, knife or fork in your right hand.  Left hand starts out with a Flesh spell.  Cast the flesh spell, then switch your left hand to your offensive spell of choice (usually a fire spell, but I used Ice against the heavy hitters to slow them down, or when exploring Solstheim since Dunmer are resistant to fire).  Use your destruction spell in your left hand to weaken the enemies as they approach, then finish them off with your enchanted weapon.

If you run out of Magicka, swap your left hand for a second enchanted weapon, and start doing dual wield attacks.

For fights with multiple enemies, add a cloak spell into the mix.  So Flesh, Cloak, then Offensive Spells.

Berserker Rage and Werewolf are reserved for those "oh crap" moments.  Berserker Rage is surprisingly effective against tougher melee enemies.

I play on PC with an Xbox 360 Controller, so I only have 2 real hotkeys (left or right).  I found that this approach minimized the amount of time I had to open up the favourites menu or the main menu, since I was mainly switching between a Flesh spell and an offensive spell.

I've you've tried Mason's Sorcerer or Ponty's Arcane Bladesman, the playstyle is fairly similar.

It's pretty much up to you.  I played him as an obsessed Orc who would do almost anything to achieve his goals of killing The Gourmet and mastering his craft.  Factions are pretty wide open, really.

I joined the Companions initially, hoping that someone would have a lead (and to get the Werewolf power).  Joined the Mage's College for easier access to enchanting and spells, and the Dark Brotherhood for obvious reasons.  He's not a thief, so I didn't really pursue the Thieves Guild at all.  He doesn't care about the Civil War, so didn't bother doing those quests (mainly because I don't like playing them).  He did join the Dawnguard.  A new faction opening up a new castle... maybe they need a cook.  Besides, you can't be a vampire and a werewolf at the same time, and those vampires attacking towns at night get really annoying.

No problem.  I don't mind answering questions.

I don't want to add to much more to the build though.  It's already pretty lengthy.  I think I've covered all the core components of the build fairly well, including which quests are essential to setting up the build.  Things like what factions to play or how to act in certain situations are really up to whoever is playing.

Hope you have as much fun playing it as I have!
