And here I thought my hair would start turning gray before this was finished.

It was great working with you Teccam; it may have taken a while, but I'm definitely pleased with the end product.

I'll be giving it a try after I get my mods sorted out. This looks like a great build, and I will give some feed back after giving it a go.

You guys took forever and a day with this but it was definitely worth the wait.

Funny, I was actually using my playthrough of the build's revamp as a guinea pig of sorts to iron out my mod list.

Would either of you mind talking me through the changes and the reasons for them?

    • Armor Combo Change: One of the main things we wanted to change about the original build was to get rid of the stacking glitch (the original used the Skaal Hat stacked with Dukaan, along with the Skaal Coat and Stormcloak Officer Boots/Bracers) but still use Dukaan. After Brewmaster, Teccam and I went through a slew of different armor combos (Teccam's really picky when it comes armor combos for his builds :P) we settled on what you see now.
    • Ring of Bloodlust: Another thing we wanted to change with the build was to give it a solid reason for actually using beast form. We decided to accomplish this by permanently acquiring the Ring of Bloodlust's effect via the Cursed Ring of Hircine glitch, making beast form the Progenitor's super offense form, ideal for burst damage.
    • Build Level Change: The original build went all the way up to level 60. The revamp goes up to a much more manageable level 40 while still picking up all the build's important perks.
    • Skill Changes: As a result of the build's new armor combo Light Armor was swapped for Heavy Armor. Also, Alteration was dropped. In the original build it was used for flesh spells and the Magic Resistance perks. The revamp gets the extra magic resistance from enchantments and simply lives without the extra 100 AR provided by Ebonyflesh.
    • Stat Change: The build went from 2M/2H/1S to 1M/2H/1S. Between dropping Alteration and liberal usage of Fortify Destruction enchantments, Magicka was no longer as important.
    • Spellbook Changes: Freeze was dropped from the build (it was never particularly necessary in the first place) while Ice Storm and Whirlwind Cloak were added, the former for some AoE, the latter for its defensive applications.
    • Jewelry Changes: The original build used the Ring of Namira, Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana (via the Cursed Ring of Hircine glitch), and an Amulet of Talos. The revamp uses the Ring of Hircine, the Ring of Bloodlust (via the Cursed Ring of Hircine glitch, see below), and a custom enchanted ring and necklace.
    • Quick Reflexes: While Quick Reflexes was already in the build, the revamp makes better use of it via its dodging applications and Extended Slow Time.
    • Weaponry Changes: While the build still uses a trio of greatswords with frost damage as their primary effect, the actual swords used and some of their secondary effects have been changed to things that are more appropriate for the build.
    • Recommended Mods: As Teccam didn't actually have a gaming PC when he made the original, the revamp has a recommended mods section whereas the original did not.
    • Other Changes: The revamp added screenshots, recommended enchantments for the apparel, additional quests to do, useful active effects to pick up, and some additional thematically appropriate shouts (the original build only used Frost Breath, Clear Skies, and Unrelenting Force). Also, the SkyrimCalculator links were replaced with a perk spread image.

    Whew, I think that's everything.

Damn, Al, you know more about the old Progenitor than I do! I forgot half this stuff.

The original was good but damn if those changes don't up it to spectacular. You have some pretty positive changes here which haven't impacted the spirit of the build in any way, shape or form.
