Dang Paul, I was going to use the Cursed Ring of Hircine on my next build!  I'll always be a sucker for a good werewolf build.  They're so much fun to play because the style is so straightforward, but there are different ways to make them better or more interesting.  And there are so many different philosophies on how to reconcile beast form and human form.  Love the idea of an almost unarmored, untamed barbarian who might transform at any given moment.  I like your screenshots too.  Well done, Paul.

The only CC I have, is that it wouldn't hurt to spice up the presentation a bit. It feels a bit monotonous, with the all black, all left-align, all default font.  Wouldn't hurt to mix things up just a bit, maybe add some concept art or something.

Good to see you building again, Paul. +1.

I feel like trying out Hircine's cursed ring on my character now... it's so tempting! +1, Paul.

It's funny, that final screenshot is from a dragon fight that occurred just after I posted the build.  It was a blood dragon (happened to be frost, as luck would have it), and I had randomly transformed just a few minutes prior.

I was mostly concerned about how to damage the thing while it was flying, but after a few flybys it obliged and landed - where I was pleasantly surprised at how well I was able to tank it, and even stagger it a bit with claw swipes.  The most dangerous thing was the flyby breath attacks, since with no access to potions or health regen I was forced to kill nearby sabrecats and goats to replenesh health!  This was my first Beast Form dragon kill, in fact.

    I love Beast Form!

I had actually just before this played my first-ever vampire character, and I wanted to use the Vampire Lord, but I just couldn't get into it.  Then I started this guy up and remembered how awesome werewolves are in this game.  No reliance on Magicka, no irritating stunted regen (except for Health, which is a fun challenge in Beast Form), and the style is a blast!

My "problem" has always been simply that your "human" characters rarely *need* the advantages; Beast Form can seem more like a gimmick than something that gives you a power boost.  Forcing a different human playstyle really allows the beast to shine through.

I can see some different style would spice this up, good point.  I rarely have a ton of free time between family and work, but if I run across some interesting pics I'll see what I can do!

This is another really cool Nord specific build and I like the use of the Cursed Ring. Even if I'm not sure I could stand the chaos for long I like how it forces roleplay.

I've been playing something similar recently (minus the cursed ring) on expert and master difficulties using only a fur armour set and the Lord stone for protection. I found mobility was my best defence -  as you say, footwork and high damage is crucial - but I needed a helping hand now and then from crowd controlling powers like Battle Cry and Mora's Grasp and instant healing from Waters Of Life and Avoid Death.

Although I like my fur armour berserker aesthetic, I think there is a lot to be said for ragged trousers and a roughspun tunic on a greatsword wielding warrior -  those pictures look sweet!

Dammit, first the heretic, then the master monk, and now this beautiful little gem of a build! You guys just aren't gonna let me stop making characters, are you? +1, good sir, +1 indeed!

I have been sick and jetlagged, but as soon as I started to read all that disappeared. I truly enjoy your work. First your Swordthane, now this (please let me know if you have more builds, I might of missed 'em!). They are simple builds, very straight forwards, but within that "simplicity" there is so much depth. I am annoyed that I can only add one like...

Love it, Paul. What a way to flip the script on what most werewolf builds aim for. Oh and I totally thought of your Pit Fighter when I found the glitch that became the centerpiece to my Master Monk build. Totally wanna play that again with some actual, worthwhile unarmed damage! Still one of my favorites and probably my vote for most underrated build going. Keep knocking them out of the park, bro!
