He doesn't force anything. When he walks up to you and engages conversation, immediately leave the conversation and never speak to him again. You don't actually have to join, you can ask Keerava in the Bee and Barb about Esbern's location. Furthermore, if you simply walk to Esbern's door he will let you in once he finds out you're Dragonborn

This build is genius, I'd never thought I'd have so much fun with so much morality.I think for a reccomened qeust,Destroy The Dark Brotherthood would fit this build well.Good Job!

Thanks for all the positive feedback! It is a bit surprising that restricting your evil side makes for such a rich play experience. Great idea with adding Destroy the DB, dunno why I didn't think of that right away.

In a way, it is really simple - but in this case as less is more, simple is actually pretty complex Definite +1! Shame I'm right now too busy with my Resurrection contest character - but I'll be sure to take a Knight for a spin sometime in the future

I like how you left it really open in terms of race choice and focused on what it means to be a Knight - this opens up many many different avenues of executing a character with the essentially same skill set, yet always differently. For example, I had an instant idea about possibly playing as a Khajiit knight, possibly a former honor guard, who would really have to struggle with overcoming all the prejudice he faces because of his race. Yet as a character, he would share the same ideals and means to his ends as, for example, a Dunmer knight upholding Boethiah's glory.

    Sorry for the ramble

Why have a shield and heavy armor? Dual wielding would be much better.

You did read the build right? Knights don't usually dual wield swords, and use either sword and shields or claymores.
