Character Build: The Prodigy

I found the dragonborn story line to be waaay to short though it was lore rich, rewarding and fun.

Think about it: Temple of Miraak, Stone freeing, Nchardak, epistolary acumen book, waking dreams book then miraak fight.

The Miraak fight was easy, annoying and epic. It is a shame that he didn't conjure lurkers and seekers at you. That would of made it even more fun....

He conjures things? He never did that with me. You're right, the battle felt epic but was just kinda annoying. I wish Dragonborn was longer too, maybe have a short fight with Miraak earlier on in the questline. Still, the side quests were awesome.

He conjures 2 Seekers in the Final Boss Preview halfway through the questline.  Or, HM does, and he takes credit for it.  He never does it unless it's scripted, though.  I've fought him like a hundred times by now.

Oh yeah, I thought he'd meant in the final battle. Thanks for clarifying.

For some reason, every time I read this, I get "Fuel my Fire" stuck in my head.

do you need the master of the mind perk for dismay or bend will to work on undead?

I did test that. Bend Will isn't actually an Illusion effect I don't think, and how Master of the Mind works is it unlocks a hidden effect on Illusion spells that allows them to work on undead, similar to Respite in Restoration.

So, is that a yes, or a no?

    1. Bend Will isn't an illusion effect, hence Master of the Mind does not affect it.
    2. Master of the Mind works by adding hidden effects to Illusion spells, similar to Respite. Dismay and Bend Will are not Illusion spells - Dismay is not affected by Animage/Kindred Mage either.
