Nah, just Valdr. Normal crits do not stagger perse, there's a chance not like the tiny dagger of doom though

Hmph, damn, there goes that idea. Thanks for answering though.

This build is pretty incredible, so thought through and the length supplied me with a thoroughly enjoyable read. This deserved to be featured. +1

Alright, I've finally finished my updates for this guy.  I removed the Dual Savagery perk, because it's actually unnecessary; the reason I had it in the first place was just for Windshear power attacks, but in my more recent testing, I realized that with Windshear in the left hand, even non-power attacks from it will induce stagger.  So basically the proposed combat style is to never use power attacks at all; simply start with a quick attack from Windshear, then switch to a flurry of Valdr attacks (which will ensure continued stagger).  Even though you don't need to use Windshear beyond the initial strike, it will still come into play for some seriously nasty dual wield kill cam animations, and it's also useful for those rare occasions when the dagger doesn't stun for 8-10 consecutive hits, giving the enemy enough time to recover from his last stagger.

I did add a bit of explanation for people who want to put Windshear in the right hand; I also modified the "Visage of Storms" special move specifically with that in mind.  But because I myself didn't go that route, and it's not presented as part of the core build, I decided to remove Dual Savagery (since it was also causing some confusion, and wasn't necessary for my presentation of the playthrough).  I reallocated that perk point to Deft Movement.  Everything else stayed the same; I tested a few other combat styles but none of them was as fun or effective as the original, so I saw no need to change other perks.

I remade the perk spread, so it reflects that changed perk point, as well as correctly indicating 1/5 for Haggling.  I also dropped some stuff in the write-up, including a few potions and poisons, as well as the option to use a Dawnguard Helm.  I switched the bracers from Penitus Oculatus to Dawnguard, though that's a purely aesthetic choice anyway.  I made some heavy revision in the Gameplay section, to clarify and elaborate on the combat tactics and other elements of gameplay decisions.  Finally, I did a bunch of formatting, such as adding a new image, moving around those images that I already had from Ponty, changing some text sizes, typefaces, etc.

I realize the guy in the title image is holding a hammer, rather than a blade.  However, that image is perfect in every other sense, and I really wanted to have one non-screenshot to add a conceptual element to the visual presentation.  If anyone thinks they have a better artistic image to use as a header, let me know!  I think that sums up all the changes in this update.  I probably won't make any major updates from now on, unless someone points out any huge mistakes, or a future DLC may be relevant to this build.  Thanks for reading guys, and like before, I know this is pretty much a bump, but people were asking for an update, and I want to make sure those people see it, in case they have more feedback for me.

    /long message

Alright, made some more changes even though I had planned on yesterday being the final edit.  I realized it was really looking like a wall of text, so I trimmed it from 2100+ words to around 1400.  I also added a couple pictures, and did some more formatting stuff, to make it a bit less novel-ish.  I got rid of the hammer picture and replaced it with this new one, which I had been using in the Undying, but since I hate that build, but love that picture, I decided to switch it, haha.

Let me know what you guys think, I feel like this write-up is finally at a truly complete stage (call it v1.2.0).

Yeah.  I originally had another special move that used Cyclone or Unrelenting Force depending on whether the user wanted it to be wind-based or lightning-based.  But I found that I never actually used that move in actual gameplay.  It's pretty much just Elemental Fury and Storm Call, which are each used in one special move.  Do you think I should add a new section for that, or add a paragraph in the gameplay section?  Or just expand a bit for each special move?

Good point.  For the record, "Fus" is only for the general stagger benefit.  Enemies staggering 25% more = more likely to keep them staggered.  Storm Call and Elemental Fury are the only essential shouts, but there are a few others that could augment the experience.  I'll write up a shouts section, hopefully this afternoon.  Any other comments or critiques?

Only a minor one. The Fortify Light Armor enchantment only increases your Light Armor skill. With 5 points in Agile Defender and 100 in Light Armor it'll be only a minor addition. You can swap it with Fortify Magicka instead

Solid build with a good presentation and unique idea! +1

I love how you incorporated Windshear and Valdr's Lucky Dagger - a really deadly combination! Never knew about the stagger effect of the dagger and thanks to your build a learned something new! Thanks!

Solid advice.  At lower levels, that extra Magicka would certainly be welcome.  I was using mage hoods and circlets of magicka before I picked up the Diadem of the Savant, for that exact reason.  However, later on, since it's possible to get 100% Fortify Destruction, all Magicka is redundant.  Even though the Fortify Light Armor enchantment may not make a massive difference, it's still more significant than Fortify Magicka would be at higher levels.

Glad you like it by the way.  Thanks for the feedback.
