Ah, fair enough. I saw the weapon combo plus the Dual Savagery perk and just assumed. My bad.

Havent seen many people who have the setup, perks and shout and are able to resist. You wont need to glitch the Dual Flurry perk with a pot this way, you wont be able to keep track of your attacks, they are just that fast.

Edit: +1 for your shear willpower, crazy redguard lightning power ranger and keeping me up another hour. Good read aswell, im glad people are less afraid to steer away from the picture book method.

Yeah, I mean, I kind of wanted this guy to just be god tier.  But it's easy enough to drop Windshear and go with Valdr/Thunderbolt.  You can also drop some of the excessive potion use.  By not using potions of Fortify Restoration, you won't get as fast of Shout cooldown, so you can't spam Elemental Fury as quickly.  You could avoid Fortify Destruction potions so your Destruction spells are, if anything, underpowered in the endgame.  You could experiment more with other shouts, you could drop Impact, etc.  There are a lot of simple ways to nerf the build, but I wanted to present the ceiling.

I'm probably going to run another playthrough of this where I use some of the above nerfs.  But this was my first experience with the game since last November, and I wanted it to knock my pants off.

Nice build man. As for what people are saying about elemental fury + valdr's dagger in the left hand, if you dual wield with power attacks it would be a lot faster. But I can definitely see why you would want it in the right hand for aesthetic purposes. Seeing the same hit animation over and over would be boring. Also I am glad I could help a little bit

That perk spread pic is really nice, I like the combination of Valdrs dagger and Windshear (I didn't know crits were supposed to stagger) and the shock spells topped of the flavor of this build, and your backstory is great in it's own right. +1 from me, and I don't usually prefer using Redguards over Nords or Argonians, so this build actually does make me want to be a redguard for once.

Actually, you're right.  Dual Savagery is pretty much useless in my version of the build.  I actually should have taken it out to avoid confusion.  In any case, we've already established that either the Valdr (R) and Windshear (L) without power attacks, OR the Windshear (R) and Valdr (L) with power attacks are equally viable.  If you don't want to pick up Dual Savagery, that perk can be reallocated or dropped.

Leveling tends to drop off quite a bit after level 30 or so (at which point I had 100 Enchanting, 60 Smithing, 50 Speech, and was getting close to 75 Destruction and 80 One Handed).  So maybe just save that Dual Savagery for if/when you actually get to level 36+.

I think it basically comes down to how you prefer to get your stuns: with Valdr in the right (and not using dual power attacks) your stuns will come from Valdr's increased chance to crit.  With WIndshear in the right (and constant dual power attacks) your stuns come from the power attack stun effect.  For me, the aesthetic is definitely a part of it, and also just the effect of increased control, and apparent combat speed (even if it may take half a second longer to actually kill a high level enemy).

This is a fantastic build! The inclusion of Valdr's dagger is great and something not seen often. A full on, offensive-powered storm bladesman. Sweet pics too, Ponty does nice work!

    Big +1 from me, dude.

Hey guys, first off I'm sorry if this counts as a bump; that's not my intention.  I said I'd make a few updates and run some tests, and I haven't gotten back with that info yet.  I do plan on doing that ASAP, but I've been really busy with midterms, and I dedicated what time I had with Skyrim this week to playing a run-through of Mason's Nemesis (which has been a blast btw).  I just wanted to let you guys know in case anyone was waiting for me to update.

In the meantime, I did try putting Windshear in the right hand with Valdr's Lucky Dagger in the left, and I found that it was useful when going up against enemies I knew I could one-shot, but less effective against bigger boss-type enemies.  Either way does work, and I still intend to do some more focused testing, and possibly even re-route some perks...

To be honest, Windshear can actually be dropped entirely as far as battle tactics are concerned; Valdr's Lucky Dagger is the real star here as Henson observed (thanks for the complements, buddy).  Though you do need a blade in the left hand to activate Dual Flurry, and since this build is based on a descendent of arguably the greatest swordsmen in Tamriel's history, it seems like he needs to have a full-sized blade.  Maybe a Blades Sword, or Skyforge Steel?  Your call as to whether to enchant it or not; if you leave it unenchanted, you can do absurd dual damage with Elemental Fury, but if you enchant it, you can combine Shock + Absorb Health, which opens up a whole new world of longevity and a completely different style of fighting.  I might try this out as well and possibly even add it to that update, which I intend on making within the next week or so.  Sorry for taking so long. :(

I'm pretty sure the rule with bumping is that it's okay if you include some actual information with the bump, which you did.

So Critical hits stagger, right? Even the swordsman perks? Might do something with that.
