During the Oblivion Crisis many Daedroth marched along in Tamriel under the command of their demonic overlords, only to be used as pawns in the greater conquest. It was assumed that all of them were slain and thus were sent back to the realm of Oblivion. These assumptions were wrong...

A whelp within an unknown cave survived, with no knowledge of or not knowing of what had occurred in the outside world. Upon exiting his abode of the last half century, he was met with fear from the local fauna and confusion by the sentient folk of the world. Many assumed due to his appearance that he was an Argonian who had become completely mad but onward they sought to salve his mind.

Upon learning how to speak, read and write The Daedroth Exile became accepting of the fact that he is an "Argonian" and decided to live his life according to the way of his "people".

He swam, he explored, he gained an appreciation for the thrill of adventure and sought to go where he had not been before, after centuries of exploring Tamriel, he then decided it was time to head to Skyrim...

The Daedroth Exile as he first appeared after exiting his home of half a century, more beast than man, more mad than sentient, more savage than civilised.

    Premise

The Daedroth Exile is a build that uses melee mostly and has ranged through the use of the Dawnguard Rune Hammer, the runes are powered up by the Destruction perks Augmented flames 2/2 and Rune Master which lets you use them quite further.

The Ebony Mail chest adds extra melee dps and the Ebony Blade allows for quick healing when used with Histskin. Ring of Namira also helps with regeneration as well as The Lady Stone.

Windshear is super effective with block talents that not only harness weapon blocks and allows stuns to occur that can help give enough time to drop Runes when in melee combat uninterrupted of course.

Shouts such as Dismay allow The Daedroth Exile to snipe running opponents and Dragon Rend when used with Windshear can stunlock a Dragon allowing The Daedroth Exile to run around to the ribcage.

    Variations

The Daedroth Exile can become a vampire and also use Harkons sword instead of the Ebony Blade or Chillrend instead of Windshear though Windshear blocks are not only protecting you from melee damage, they allow you free reign to strike where as Chillrend leaves you vulnerable. Another variation is to use Elemental Fury with The Runehammer for speedy melee damage while Stamina regenerates.

    Daedroth Lore

Daedroth are creatures encountered in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. They are animalistic Daedra resembling large, bipedal alligator-like creatures. According to the book Darkest Darkness, they are minions of the Daedric Prince Molag Bal.[1] According to Varieties of Daedra, they are "feral [and] beastlike" and "appear in the service of many different Daedric Powers, and may represent common creatures existing like wild animals in the wildernesses of Oblivion".[2]

In battle, Daedroths prefer to slash at opponents with their mighty jaws and huge, hooked claws. They will on rare occasion however belch a fireball. Some may even have been observed using poison magic. On spotting an enemy, the Daedroth will shake himself, invoking his Shield spell, and then generally lumber toward the enemy, slashing with his claws. This battle initiating ritual can make the Daedroth slow to react, especially when summoned close to enemies. It is a large beast and sometimes has difficulty maneuvering in tight spaces.

Note that daedroth is also the singular form of the word daedra, but is rarely used in that sense. The singular daedroth almost always refers to the creature described here, and is used as both singular and plural (though the plural daedroths is also seen on occasion).

    Synergy

Using Histskin, The Ebony Blade, The Lady Stone and Ring of Namira all allow for great HP Regeneration. DPS from Ebony Mail will continue while your healing meaning even while your blocking your still doing dps.

Windshear Procs with Dawnguard Rune Hammer allows a paralyzed target to be hit by rune traps with no cost to magicka and without being interupted.

Another great build. The screen shot of the daedroth makes him look like an insect to me with is eyes for some reason .

Thanks man, yeah it's funny also in the video when you see him at the start with the Ebony Mail veil how odd the eyes can look from a distance.

Very good build, well placed and even a video! Nicely done, I wouldn't be surprised if this got into the Master section quickly.

Funny you mention that I was going to put battleaxe in and take 3 points out of 3 other talents elsewhere to get the bleed effect but like you have said the only unique is Rueful. Drainblood was an option but ebony covered it nicely and perks crossover well with Windshear for one handed sword.

Wuuthrad is bleh and initially I was going to make this a conjuration blend using Conjured Battleaxe but felt it limited the weapon choices and also spent too many points in Conj. Remember I did make The Executioner an axe build and it was my first one.

Thanks man, I am just happy to make builds and see how they go. I am motivated by the enjoyment people can get out of them but wouldn't mind it if they were popular enough to go further. :)

Thanks dude, I like to think it all through before I even post, for instance I thought about the play-style with weps and armor first then I searched through the lore of Skyrim for different species that could possibly play this or factions that had people from a certain race.

As I scrolled through I found Daedroth, which I remembered from my Oblivion days and how fun they were to kill so I thought on the flipside since they haven't made an appearance (yet) in Skyrim that they would be perfect to play. Argonian was a natural choice.

Then play-testing came in, and it was quite fun to play over the course of the week a bit each day then finally taking the footage, editing and uploading while I write up the post. :)

I really like this build, it is very similar to the Rune Priest I am playing right now (he is only level 20). The planned build swaps out One-Handed for Enchanting to make Restoration and Alteration spells cheaper (Poison Runes and Ash Runes). Ash Rune works very well with the Sniping special move you have listed as it makes the targeting easier. I am waiting until I play him for a few more levels before posting him but your build gets a +1 from this newbie.
