"I'm fed up! These damn "Stormcloaks" and the corrupt Empire are gettin' on my last nerve! Back in my day, we had wars that were fought with men ... not whiny, little boys!

I may not be able to hold my hammer anymore, but I sure can shout my frustrations out. These young fools are in for a yellin' and a beatin'! My mind may be a bit scattered, but their bodies will be too!"

Ok ... I felt it was time for some fun. I want to preface this build that it IS a funny and humorous concept but it is, in fact, very powerful. I have been wanting to create a build around a certain "weapon" for a long time and this seemed just about the best way to go about it. This is also my very first Nord build! I wanted to post this before my true Nord build for the upcoming Dragonborn DLC.

    The Kook

This build will be a true treat for those who do not take this game too seriously.

I wanted to make a build that caters to a certain roleplaying perspective: an old Nord who is fed up with the racket going on outside of his house and decides to take it upon his crazy, eccentric self to settle all battles for everyone else. Undead coming back to life? Smack 'em back to the grave. Civil war? Bunch of young pansies who don't know how to fight. Dragons? More like kittens that spit lukewarm water.

The Kook is an old school Nord who is no longer a strong warrior, but has turned to magic and kooky tactics to take down any foes that threaten his retirement. He respects Sheogorath (not worships) and his care free lifestyle and uses his instrument of erratic power: The Wabbajack. The Kook takes up his staff and shield and goes out for one last joy ride of destructive adventure throughout his homeland to rid of everything he deems distracting or childish.

    Build

    Race: Nord

    Stone: Atronach

    Major Skills: Alteration, Block, Destruction

    Minor Skills: Restoration, Enchanting, Conjuration

Gear: Enchanted Chef's Hat, Enchanted Noble's Clothes, Enchanted Gloves, Enchanted Fur Lined Boots

Wabbajack + Targe of the Blooded

Shouts: ALL! This is how to yell and shout to all those pesky young idiots and pesky undead. Utilize any and all shouts to put them into their place!

    Stats: 3/1/0 - M/H/S

    Perks/Skills and Gameplay

    Alteration

This is where you get some kooky tactics and spells. This is the main source for defense in use of mage armor and flesh spells to protect ourselves. Alteration also provides paralysis for slapping wussies down in one shot and then pounding them with a shield. Alteration also provides hilarious roleplay and gameplay. I usually have been picking fights with enemies by pelting them with a flung cheese wheel or cabbage. It sure gets their attention and let's me shout directly in their face.

    Block

The Block skill will always be my personal favorite. The Kook is too old to pick up a weapon, but a shield is a perfect weapon in itself. Nothing says fun like an old coot ramming enemies over with a shield charge. It also provides fantastic elemental and physical protection as well as a great source of damage when bashing (Targe of the Blooded bleed damage).

    Destruction

I wanted to give one more go at lightning magic. Nothing says erratic behavior like Chain Lightning, the build's primary shock spell. This of course can bounce off surfaces and walls as well as jump to multiple targets. Dual casting the spell can offer a staggering effect as well as more targets to be hit. This can be used when the Wabbajack is out of charges or a fast moving target.

    Conjuraton

Conjuring up Storm Atronachs adds to the craziness when in battle, especially when taking on multiple foes. This helps a lot when your Wabbajack is depleted and you need some help!

    Restoration/Enchanting

You have lasted this long, so you'll need some restoration to heal up and give pain relief to your arthritis. Enchanting is for cost reductions, as some spells are costly in Alteration and Conjuration.

The use of Warcry will be your old man yelling power. Everyone wants to run from the crazy old man, and this is how you mimic that effect. Of course, the Dismay shout is also useful when your racial daily power is unavailable.

With the use of the Wabbajack, you will be having some seriously erratic fights. Deathlords turning into bunnies, farmers turning into Dremora Lords ... all in a days work. Make sure to create as much chaos to punish you enemies.

    As for Illusion:

You are the crazy one, not others. Your goal is not to interfere with the minds of others because you are having a tough time controlling your own. It is recommended that you bolster up the Block perks for added protection first because without Illusion, early fights can be quite difficult.

I hope you don't think this build is too silly. I wanted to have fun, and I did! But I do hope you consider yo try this build and roleplay because sometimes a fresh perspective on the game is what everyone needs!

This is not up to my build standards, I know, but wanted to share this roleplay with you all to see if anyone else likes to go kooky in the game every now and then.

Hilarious and different. +1 from me. Maybe use an enchanted Jester's Hat for more hilarity?

Love the offbeat roleplaying aspect of this build.

I'll add this to my ever lengthening 'to play' list

Great selection of images too - especially the first one

Loving it. I love sheogorath and i wanted to make a sort of sheogorath champion, but could never figure out a good way to do it, but this looks great.  One note, wouldn't illusion be good for this build? I know you said that he has trouble controlling his own mind, but couldn't that leak out and warp the minds of his foes?

Henson, this is awesome!!!  Love, love, love the concept.  Nothing says 'Get off my lawn!' like Fus Ro Dah!

I would probably drop the shield part of it, but this gives me a great excuse to try an old, eccentric Nord wizard.  Thanks!

Actually, this build is rather interesting and is a serious alternative to all evil/bad characters.I mean, what about the greybeards? They solely concentrate on shouts, and with the respective equipment we have an old, grey warrior who just finally wants peace...and all these people off his lawn.
