You may find alchemy a drag if this is the first time you have ever used it in a playthrough. Make sure you learn one or two expensive recipes to focus on and direct all your dragon bones/scales at Arcadia for training.

Don't try and learn every recipe alchemy has to offer in one playthrough, it'll just drive you mad...

    Is that Nocturne? XD

Very much enjoying this character, I like how the battles can shift suddenly and dramatically. Hit level 12 today, got the Atronach stone. I've used the atronach before, but not like this. I used 3 different fortify restoration potions first, wound up with 70% spell absorption. Went into Treva's watch on the way back--that place is just full of bandits. So I go in with Faendal, we're sneaking around, killing a guy here and there, then as I'm looking through this big barrel room, hoping to find some more ingredients, I somehow alert the whole place, maybe 6 or 8 bandits. Chaos ensues, I'm throwing ice spikes all over, and at least 2 Bandit Chiefs show up. I somehow kill one of them, the plain and outlaw bandits are dropping from my spikes, but then Faendal goes down (sorry dude, is that an ice spike in your back?), and chief number two, with sword and steel armor, heads my way. I'm out of magicka, and I'm like oh crap, I'm dead, when he for some reason pulls out a staff of flames and starts trying to burn me. Wrong move fool, I'm an atronach. Magicka shoots up to full (like 220) so I go Healing in one hand, Frostbite in the other, and my health stays steady while his flames power his own frozen demise. Then a mage shows up and I just chop him up with plain orcish sword while his spells do nothing. And there it is, victory out of almost certain defeat, thanks to the advanced atronach stone. The most fun battle I've had in quite some time.

Awesome build man! Although not sure if you meant for this, but your perk spread is actually for level 51.

    +1 from me!

So i'm guessing nord is a bad choice due to their frost reisistance?

It's only a bad choice if you really plan to go to 100 in destruction for Blizzard (a big mission). It's mostly a poor choice because you aren't going to need any frost resistance I guess.

I've been admiring this as a random viewer for too long. This is a gem. Good job.

Does this build still work?? I mean can you still use the stone an the resto. Potions together to get that absorption. I play on the X box btw. It be great to hear from someone about this :)

Finally decided to play this after admiring it forever. Last time I attempted it I got rather bored (Early level frost mages tend to be that way for me), but now I've got a full set of Ebony and I'm at 71% Atronach so far. Getting really close, just have to power level Alchemy a bit more. Currently at level 22 with my Breton. Still grinding away until 27 so I can get the Pale Blade at it's full power.
