He is as much a scholar as he is a warrior. Obsessed with the Dwemer, their ways, culture, technology, and lost society, he spends his days in an attempt to piece together the mysteries they left behind.

    The Dwemereth

"They researched powers to rival the gods themselves.

And then, at a time we are still not sure when, they disappeared.

The whole people, all at once. Leaving behind only their works." ~ Calcemo

The Dwemereth offers a unique play-through, based on delving into Dwemer Ruins to discover their secrets. Though mechanically a pure warrior, the Dwemereth is truly conducting research, taking a keen interest in anyone doing the same. He seeks to read any books on the Dwemer he might find, and works to master their puzzels, machines, and forging practices.

    Minor Skill: Block, Blacksmithing

Armor: Dwarven Armor, Dwarven Shield, Visage of Mzund(DB)

Weapons: Dwarven Mace, Aetherial Staff, Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow

Shouts: Marked for Death, Elemental Fury

Powers: Adrenaline Rush, Ancient Knowledge, Force without Effort

Quests: Mages Guild (even though you use no magic), Lost Ages, Unfathomable Depths, The Only Cure, Mourning Never Comes, Alduin. These are merely a few quests based in Dwemer Ruins

A Complete List of Dwemer Ruins: Can be found here.

A Complete List of Dwemer Books and Lore: Can be found here.

    Custom Abilities:

    Name: Dismantle

Skills:  Marked for Death + Elemental Fury + Bone breaker

Effect: Start to tear apart a Dwemer construct for spare parts, reducing its armor drastically. After 40 seconds of tinkering, you learn the construct's secrets, attacking it 100% faster for the last 15 seconds. (MFD lasts 60 seconds, has a 40 second cd, allowing it to overlap with Elemental Fury for devastating effects.)

    Name: Hammer-and-Anvil

Skills:  Shield Charge + Deadly Bash + Critical Charge

Effect: Rush a target with your shield raised, bash them down, then finish them with a swift hammer fall.

    Name: Rapid Fire

    Skills:  Crossbow + Hot-key Crossbow

Effect: Fire a crossbow-bolt, and instantly reload a second bolt. By hotkeying a crossbow to a key, e.g. 1, you may fire a bolt, press, 1 and the crossbow will have a fresh bolt. This bug allows your reload time to be based on skill rather than rote delay.

"Marvelous, isn't it?" ~ Laura, Dwemer Mechanist

    Gameplay  & Roleplaying:

    The Build

All your life, you have been researching the Dwemer, the greatest mystery in all Tamriel. You came to Skyrim to study their ruins, and, with the minor exception of that hiccup a the border -- it really wasn't your fault -- everything seems to be going smoothly.

Your personal mission is to uncover the Mysteries of the Dwemer:

I have listed above the locations of all the lost Ruins and their associated quests, but let your character find out about these himself.

At the end of the day, you gear yourself in ancient Dwemer Gear you have mastered (Ancient Knowedge, Heavy Armor, Smithing), you've even learned how to repair it and even forge our own, as sound as the originals. For a weapon you wield and ancient Dwemer hammer that serves as your crushing mace, as well as your forging mallet, and monkey wrench. You also own a truly unique artifact, a Dwemer Cross bow, the pinnacle  of Dwarvish technology.

If you live anywhere, its Markarth, where better to call home than a Dwemer city? You geek out over the Dwemer Museum -- You and Calcemo get along swimmingly. You collect (and read!!) any books on the Dwemer or Falmer you can get your hands on, fill your personal library!

    Combat:

You do not fight alone. You may be a heavily armored mace wielding badass, but you are a more gentile scholar at heart. Your companion should be geared in full Dwemer regalia, dual wielding a mace and axe in the style of Dwemer Centurion, I like to role play that they are, in fact, an automaton that you have rewired (or perhaps, awarded sentience). It is also possible for your follower to use the unique ammunition, Dwemer Bolts.

     Lydia 2.0

In addition to your "Centurion" you will eventually wield the Aetherial Staff, allowing you to summon Spheres, Spiders, or the occasional pile of scraps -- you're still working out the kinks.

If you have the Dragon Born Plugin: You can go to Solthsteim and recruit either a Steadfast Dwarven Sphere or Steadfast Dwarven Spider as a permanent pet to bolster your mechanized ranks.

Purely physical, your engagements rely on skill, tactics, and quick reflexes to stay alive. All of your weapons ignore armor, (Maces: 75%, Crossbow: 50% + Marked for Death) Initiate fights with a well aimed bolt from your Enhanced Dwemer Crossbow, from cover or a concealed location. The bow is primarily for initiating, while you can bash with it, this is far too crude a mechanist such as yourself. Switch to your Aetherial Staff, and create a Dwemer Automaton to meet your opponents charge. Your follow or Centurion, should also meet your foes while you sling your crossbow over your shoulder and draw your hammer and shield to close distance. With all the block perks and almost all the one handed perks, you have infinite options from here. Use Elemental Fury to scatter foes before your mace, or Marked for Death against larger more durable foes like Centurions or Dragons.

    Dwemer Ruin Adventuring Tips:

Take a Torch, you'll be underground, trust me.

Bring potions of Cure Poison. The Falmer are master Alchemists and their pet Charus are deadly. Place muffle on your boots.

Flamer are blind; Invisibility would do nothing, but Muffle does you worlds of good.

Use your powerful crossbow to detonate footplates and trigger switches.

Bring lots of lockpicks, you'e no master thief, but you sure as hell want to open every chest.

Use your "Centurion" to carry vast amounts of scrap metal for smelting.

“Gone? Perhaps. Lost? In part. Forgotten? Never."

All images have been restored for this build. While I try my best to keep the formatting as close to the original as possible, there are some unavoidable differences as a result of differing platforms... for this I apologize.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.
