I hesitate to comment on this off-topic discussion, but might I just say, "HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH-(*pauses for breath)- HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA"

That's what you get for looking forward to any MMO ever.  It was Zenimax though, so no one will hold it against TES actual games.

This build is pretty viable without alchemy, it just speeds up kills and is used for healing. My Salamander played a bit like a hermit, a true lizard wandering nature. Everywhere he went he found fresh flora and insects to snack on (collect everything you see as you soak in the wilds of Skyrim), learning about their properties and crafting salves to deal with his injuries. He shys away from most human interaction; Letting the wandering Nord call him a milk drinker and walking away, preferring to trade with the caravans and learning from Faralda without having to enter the cities or College (only if he needs to, which brings me to my next point). The salamander gets shit done. He would rather do something himself than let mercenaries and sellswords wander about, humans should keep within their walls. Requests for help are acknowledged with a simple nod and he trudges off to deal with the problem, slow and steady. Just as annoying are the damn dragons, burning up his wilderness and food sources. He'll find a way to stop them. Put your role play cap on and any play style can come to life in Skyrim :)

Its also viable without smithing, you can still hit deffense cap with Ebony Flesh , 5/5 heavy armor and lord stone, its just need to seek for trianing on heavy armor to cap it easier, i did this build long ago, i think was first build i trully liked form this site, and i did it with 0 crafts, healed with shop/loot potions, there is plenty on game for you to heal.

Dragonborn's dragonpriest mark for each element work wonders and they are all Heavy armor

If you can stand having your nose smashed into your skull by the mask, that's the major reason why I don't use argonian for tank characters, most heavy helmets ruin immersion.

Orcish though, looks amazing on argonians, and one of the reasons why I like this build so much.

Really cool build! I love the idea of a shield-mage using cloaks as a main damager! Ingenious!

Fun, without knowing I created salamander during my first play in skytim as argonian, only I used dwemer armour, with good smiting and ancient knowledge (I hope I get name right) it same as wearing dragonbone.

How the- how have I not given this a like yet?!

My first playthrough after finding The Skyrim Blog was a Salamander, and I loved every minute of it. This build is just amazing.

Would wearing ebony mail make this biuld even stronger?

If you're talking about armor rating then I don't believe so...

If you're talking about the poison cloak then yeah it could be nice addition. The black fog would likely become a little annoying and (depending on difficulty level) the poison damage isn't that great by level 30 when you finally get it.

    Players choice!
