I love the idea behind this build. I'm trying it out now for my first complete play through. My only question is why did you decide to go with alchemy rather than enchanting. My experience at least until level 10 is that you already do enough switching with the ( Atronarch + rune or cloak) Why not use enchanting to fortify magicka, health or block and just go full defense while letting your duel atronarchs take everyone out andjust soak up the blows and keep your shield and cloak up? The idea of poison fits in nicely with the build, but it almost seems like too much switching. I know most of the build is up for interpretation after you get the basics, im just curious why you chose the alchemy route rather than the enchanting route.

Alchemy allows you to heal from behind your shield mate! This character is going to take alot of punishment so dropping your shield to try and cast restoration spells is not an option!!

Dragons are the biggest problem with this build, watch out! Get some strong atronachs!

Vampires or Dawnguards with this build?

I'm on ps3 so someone else would have to answer for me...

Vamp lord form may be a nice break from turtling.

I'd go Dawnguard, it matters do you consider yourself good? evil? Anti-hero?
you could go just Dawnguard. I mean you get a cool shield and more or less spells I forget which.
I like Dawnguard's extra quest but I also love the Volkihar quest! lol I made my wife a vampire...my kids have vampire parents lol well my ex kids and wife because the character got boring after he just would one hit everything...even Legendary Dragons.

Doesn't deflect arrows make the 5/5 worthless?

    That was patched.

Gotcha! Do you know how it works now?

Deflect Arrows works as intented these days, it simply gives you max resist against all blocked arrows. You do still take damage, just not very much...
