    Tsaesci Yni'ka Paal

"The Tsaesci are called devious, as they are not bound by honor or mercy."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4E 198, 8th of Sun's Dusk- I had to flee yet again. The Dominion keeps finding us. These Argonians have done a fantastic job of keeping me hidden from the general population of Cyrodil, but these damned elves keep tracking me down! I hope we can lose them, because if this keeps happening then we may never get to Skyrim.

4E 198, 10th of Sun's Dusk- After many months of travel, we've finally reached Skyrim! On top of that, we've even found a safe place to stay! The Dominion may have a presence here, but these dumb Nords can't distinguish a difference between the dull scales of an Argonian and my eloquent Akaviri scales. The Dominion will never know that I'm here, although that may not stop them from looking.....

4E 199, 13th of Morning Star- These Argonians must have done their research, because they know quite a bit about me. They marvel in what their Hist Sap has done to me. I must admit, the sap has done amazing things to my body. Before I was simply a Tsaesci, now I've become one with their Hist. It has not only given me the abilities of an Argonian, it has even given me legs! I do miss my tail, it was quite the advantage in battle, but these may come in handy in Skyrim's mountains.

4E 201, 15th of Sun's Height- It's been quite some time since I have been able to write, as I've been practicing. I've learned to sure my new legs in combat, and I've adapted my old battle techniques to incorporate them. These Argonians have taught me to use the power of the Hist to my advantage in battle, which is something I hadn't considered before. There's been a lot of talk about the Dominion lurking around out camp, but we all think they are only rumors.

4E 201, 16th of Last Seed- We've been spotted! It seems that we've become to reckless as of late, and a damned Elf saw us sparring. I doubt she could tell that I'm an Akaviri, as even I'm starting to forget that, but she'll be sure to alert the Dominion. A group of Argonians is enough to cause trouble for these damned pointy-eared bastards.

    4E 201, 16th of Last Seed, Dusk
    - We've been surrounded. They're going to have us executed. I'm prepared to kill them all, but these Argonians aren't looking so good. I think they cold weather has finally gotten to them. I'll go peacefully. I don't want to risk their lives. I heard some talk about Helgen, I figure we should be there by morning. That's if these Argonians are still alive by then.

"We don't have shields in our culture,” murmured Versidue-Shaie to the Emperor. “It seems strange to my boy, I imagine. In our country, if you don't want to get hit, you move out of the way.”

    The Build

    Race: Argonian

Stone: The Serpent- the paralyze effect comes in handy, and the Tsaesci are actually serpents.

Stamina : Health : Magicka   (per 10 levels)
          5                4               1

    Gear:

    • Blades Armor- all Blades artifacts are modeled after Akaviri armor and weaponry.
    • Locket of St. Jiub (Dawnguard)- increases your stamina.
    • Amulet of Talos (if you don't have Dawnguard)- reduces shout cooldown.
    • Ring of Namira- the Tsaesci are known to eat people.
    • Rahgot- very useful for someone who uses a lot of power attacks.
    • Konahrik- could come in handy when your health is getting low.

    Weapons:

    • Two Unenchanted Blades Swords (for use with Elemental Fury)
    • Harkon's Sword (Dawnguard)- an excellent sword for a vampire.
    • Bolar's Oathblade- cause your enemies to flee, but not for long...
    • Dragonsbane- after all, the Tsaesci are dragon slayers.
    • The Katana- a Blades Sword enchanted with a paralyzing effect
    • The Wakizashi- a Blades Sword enchanted with a fear effect

    Shouts:

    • Become Ethereal- regenerate health while not taking damage.
    • Elemental Fury- the Tsaesci are known to be very fast fighters.
    • Storm Call- the Tsaesci are rumored to have weather-altering abilites.
    • Whirlwind Sprint- the Tsaesci can be quick.
    • Dragonrend (optional)- once again, the Tsaesci are dragon slayers.

    Quests:

    • Impatience of a Saint (Dawnguard)
    • Main Quest (Dragons)
    • Blades Quests
    • The Taste of Death
    • Paarthunax
    • Dawnguard (either side)

    Needed:

    • Vampirism- the Tsaesci are vampiric serpents...
    • Cannibalism- ...that also eat people.

    Battle
     Tactics:

    Akaviri Assault

Strike with the fury of an Akaviri and the abilities of an Argonian.

Elemental Fury + Histskin + Respite + Vegetable Soup

    Tsaesci Storm

Use the Tsaesci's inborn ability to manipulate the weather along with the natural abilities of both the Hist and the Serpent.

Storm Call + Serpent Stone Ability + Histskin + Necromage

    Serpent's Sprint

Sprint past your opponent with speed that only an Akaviri could have, then turn to your opponent and strike them dead where they stand.

Whirlwind Sprint + Paralyzing Strike + Rahgot

    Akaviri Redemption

Recover your health while you prepare for your next move.

Avoid Death + Become Ethereal + Konahrik  (add in Histskin if you need an extra boost)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Roleplaying:

    1. The Tsaesci are dragon slayers, so slay any dragons you come across.
    2. They do not use shields in their culture, therefore this build won't use any.
    3. Circle around your enemy, always go in for the kill.
    4. Any followers you have must be inducted into the Blades.
    5. If you find that you're having trouble defeating dragons early on (after the Main Quest) I would recommend using Dragonrend along with the Dragonsbane sword.

A very special thanks to Vix, for without him I wouldn't have been able to complete this!

Credit goes to Talen-Maht and Ponty for the fantastic screentshots!

And finally, a special thanks to TZ for making the awesome Gameplay Video!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, be sure to check out this awesome build by Henson, as it's the rival to this build!

    The Ka Po' Tun

Henson's fantastic counter to this build, this Greatsword-wielding Dovah-Cat will knock you on your feet. It's a great build, and an excellent adversary to the Yni'ka Paal (although the scaled races will always be far superior to those of fur and skin).

Another great build Emer . I've been waiting for a Tsaesci build, but don't they fight without armor?

Yes! Yes yes yes! This is too awesome, and I am so excited now to post my new build. It is, shall we say, an "opponent" to this character build. The lore is very good on this one and gives such a creative use for the Argonian race. Love it. +1 and stay tuned for my Ka Po' Tun build, still need to flesh it out some more!

I'll keep my eye out for it! Perhaps I can actually play a non-Argonian for once? (probably not)

  • August 24, 2012

They have been known to fight without armor, but I feel as if the Blades Armor completes the build. I tried playing it without armor and I died waaaaaay too much. The Blades Armor works well though, as the Blades are descended from the Tsaesci Dragonguard.
