The problem about Dragonborn's "pears" is that they actually suck as arrows too witch makes them useless except on a quest to just *SPOILERS* collect 50.

Do you think it'll be okay if I switch out light armor for heavy?

not trying to sound like a d bag but the builds that they offer are to be used as a rough sketch for your own mix and match skills who cares if its not as efficient as it was so long as you have fun

Hahahaha elegantly put Andrew! @Sikkid - most definitely. Dragoons are actually known for heavy armor use, but I like the mobility and look of light armor for my dragoon. Have fun!

"When reading about classic RPG titles such as Dragoon, you can find certain terms associated with the character class. Spears. Jumping. Charging. Monster hunter. Dragon slayer. " I'm a history buff, so all I think is light cavalry...

That's why he says RPG He brought up the history Dragoons before, I think he just mentioned the Dragon gun whatchamucallits. This build is a charging type build, so cavalry isn't far off.

I'm confused... Why do you have perks in block when you use two-handed weapons?

Because block is awesome. Quick reflexes, bashing deadly and DISARM ... oh and don't forget being able to trigger shield charge with two handed weapons!
