Build revamps of cool builds are always awesome. Personally I like them even more than seeing new builds. Sometimes, anyway.

This build was the last step for me to join skyrimblog! Your build is simple awesome to play! My second playthrough was with an Altmer mage but I always felt pretty cheap with 100% spell reduction, but your build is balanced and fun to play. So far I'm playing with my Imperial Mage and it has been the best experience (gameplay wise) I had playing Skyrim.

I would like to add some tips for starters with this build (not all concerned with RP):

-Go to Riften, recruit Marcurio and let him get killed (Fusrodah him of a cliff, send him to attack some bandits and melt him, etc.) Marcurio wears and Expert Robes of Destruction with 100% Magicka Regeneration, when most of the clothes you get until lv20 will have no more then 75%

    - Radiants Railments is the best place to get the Ring of Recovery/Recharging and Amulet of Akatosh really fast

    - A good option also to replace the Master Robes until they appear is the Archmage robes

    - Morokei can be used with Falmer/Penitus Oculatus Helmet. If you want to use a little bit of crafting, you can make them an extra source of Magicka Regeneration or you can add more Magicka to your pool instead. Even perkless it will be useful.

Anyway, this is in my humble opinion the best generalist mage build so far I've seen on this website! Keep the good work!

Well thanks Barth, and welcome to the blog. It's great to have more people joining the site and thanks for all of those tips. I hate followers, so killing off Marcurio to get Expert robes which I didn't even know he had is something I'm more than happy to do.

I don't know if this has already been said but what I really liked about the apprentice stone is that it made me use wards properly, so to anyone struggling against mages with this build. Wards are awesome, and that ward absorb perk in the resto tree.... Awesome sauce

As for Alignment, your description sounds more Chaotic than Evil. Your Magicka Regeneration is truly impressive in the Video.  I like how you interpreted the Apprentice Stone, great build!

Glad that you're enjoying yourself. When I first played this character I hated wards so never used them. Recently though I have been realizing how good they are. I think they would be a good add on for this build when I get round to it.

    Thanks, glad you liked it.

If I had just come across that vid on Utoob, without reading How it was done, I would have suspected the Focus Points Glitch (From the Out of Balance quest.)

Don't know if it was mentioned before but Ring of the Erudite actually DOUBLES magicka regeneration. So if you swap Ring of Recovery for it you'll end up with 825% constant magicka regeneration!

It's just a possibility. If a player want to use it by all means. I think it should be listed though. It can give players ability to swap their gear for something else, not use temporary effects etc.
