It's actually surprisingly easy to handle on a character like this, Illusion and Conjuration ensures enemies are fighting your summon or each other, and alternately you can simply move out of the way

I noticed that nowhere in the build did you mention the Mystic Tuning Gloves (the gloves you use in the Out of Balance quest), which I found strange given the importance of magicka regeneration to the build. After cleansing the first well, it adds 100% magicka regeneration for two hours in real time. You can repeat this quest as many times as you like, so you can start the quest to grab the gloves, and then when you need the extra magicka regeneration (perhaps in preparation for a tough fight), you can go and quickly cleanse the first well. As far as I know, this is the only way in the entire game that you can increase magicka regeneration via gloves, so given the importance of magicka regeneration to the build, I think the Mystic Tuning Gloves would be a good choice. Besides, they look cool.

Another thing, you suggest using the Shrouded Shoes for foot apparel, but the Muffle effect, on this build, isn't very useful. The reason why is because since all of your apparel (with the exception of Morokei and its overwhelming 4 weight) is weightless, your movement is nearly silent to begin with. It's only once you start adding armor that clanks around and has weight to it that Muffle becomes useful. Instead, I'd recommend using the pair of Boots you find in the Archmage's Quarters that resist Shock by a pretty decent 40%, which is important when you consider that shock magic is the most deadly to a mage. Ultimately you can find boots that have a higher shock resistance, but I think the boots in the Archmage's Quarters would be a better choice than the Shrouded Shoes.

I took the shrouded shoes as nothing else would fit better, even though the muffle boost I get would be tiny, I couldn't find any pre-enchanted shoes that were better than it. The reason I didn't use The shock resist boots is because I want this character to be 100% weaker to magicka. Having that weakness is a good trade off for such high magicka regen. I like to keep my builds balanced, so when I make something powerful, I always want to look for some kind of weakness to give them so the game doesn't get boring and offer no challenge to the player.

The mystic tuning gloves are great and they do look cool, the problem is they get rid of the need to use any other form of magicka regen. Whenever I've used them, my magicka never stops regeneration and it does it almost instantly, even while charging a spell. If it wasn't so overpowered or I didn't need to reset them after every two hours, I would have put them in from the start.

Hey Twisted, if you ever want to revamp this and add some cool lore, you can base it off these guys... "The Sun Birds were a group of magic users from Alinor. Alongside the Reman Dynasty, they are the only people to have reached Aetherius. The Orrery at Firsthold is a result of their reaching Aetherius."

I remember reading up on those guys a while ago, they would fit very nicely!

You must have read my mind. I was just thinking this needs a revamp as I was replying to the comment. Thanks Matt

Haha, I found those guys yesterday, I remembered the line in this build "Because of this, the apprentice has a far stronger link to Aetherius than most." And thought it fit perfectly.

Really? I've never used the Mystic Tuning Gloves myself but I didn't think another 100% Magicka Regen would break the build. I'll take your word for it. Good point on the Shock Resist Boots, I guess elemental resistances partially ruin the theme of the build anyway.
