The only two illusion spells you will use with this build are Muffle and Invisibility.

The muffle spell works with this build excellently, it guarantees total silence on the assassins movements (100%). The muffle perk in sneak (muffled movement) only enables 50% muffle, once sneak is at level 70 then you can take the silence perk as well, only then will you have 100% muffle.

The muffle spell guarantees complete silence as low as level 1 and boosts everything this character does...

Invisibility is just self explanatory, you cast this when you need to escape, get to a position of safety or when a single opponent really needs to die quick.

With invisibility and muffle it's possible to assassinate a dragon.

Morag Tong are masters at concealment, it's seems fitting that they can do this innately with no help from potions or scrolls...

The Ebony Blade isn't complex at all. It's simple as: benefits from everything from One Handed (perks, skill level, enchants), but increases the Two Handed skill. Therefore, it's an awesome weapon for assassins, as it helps you leveling an unused skill (the best part, in my opinion, is that your enemies will get even stronger, so your assassin won't feel so overpowered), so you get more perk options .

BTW, which health/stamina/magicka spread do you use with this guy (girl in my case )?

EDIT: Sorry, I missed your explanation in a previous post... If anyone wants to know, it's 3:1 (Health/Stamina) for Master and 1:1 for lower difficulties.

    Hi Daniel,

When this build was made it was believed the ebony blade used a combination of one & two handed perks (sweep for example), sometimes making it troublesome to work into a character build. Some people here have even gone to the extreme of tailoring their build around the weapon.

Stat placement is roughly a 0.2.1. You may need to equip a magicka boosting ring for casting invisibility.

if that's what WAS believed when the build was first made, how does it work in reality? I assume it only uses perks from one handed? Which ones?  How have people tailored their build around the weapon?  Sorry for shooting off twenty questions. Also lore wise were the Morag Tong against vampirism?

Here is my current understanding of the Ebony Blade...

    • It increases the two handed skill...
    • It uses one handeds armsman perks to scale damage...
    • It can't be improved at a forge...
    • It uses the two handed skills specialty perks (Deep Wounds, Devastating Blow, Great Critical Charge, Sweep, Warmaster)

The Akaviri Bloodlord (Legendary) is tailored around extracting optimum use from the Ebony Blade. I haven't personally tested any of these claims, because the ebony blade can't be improved at a forge I've never deemed it worthy of taking both one and two handed. For this build it works perfectly with just one handed perks, as seen in the video it makes an assassin very hard to bring down...

With regards to the Morag Tong and vampirism...

I doubt they would approve, they are government sanctioned assassins and the government in question is (was) the Tribunal Temple who were definitely against vampires and other abominations.

thanks mason, cleared up some questions I had.

what skill tree do you suggest putting perks in asap? (I play master also)

Now I just have to wait for dragonborn for PC :(

Getting muffle early is important in my opinion, it means that you can start getting melee sneak attacks quickly. The novice hood found during the tutorial should allow you to cast muffle...

Most of the skills develop nicely from that point onward. Light armor may take longer if your assassinating often, you will want to collect the ebony blade as soon as it's available so you can build light armor up quicker...
