My use of melee weapons depends on the situation - outdoors and in large areas I try to use my bow, but if it's a relatively tight cave system/there's lots of cover I'll use my offhand dagger for backstabs. I havent touched my character since I made the video where she was level 38.

Many of my builds (up to and including my Histmaster) are super old, barely anyone used to post in CB when I made these so they have quite generic skillsets (not saying they aren't fun to play). If you look in the CB Discussion and sort it by newest discussion and go back to the start, you'll see what I mean!

I just had a quite read through yours, it's fine to keep since the skills have slightly different focuses.

Probably not. I haven't played Skyrim for a few weeks and don't plan to anytime soon - the only character I had active at the time was a pure mage, so I might finish him sometime (he was about level 8). But what you can be looking forward to is updates to all of my build (Including 'modernization' of my first 12) once I'm finished exploring what Dawnguard has to offer - not to mention a build or two based around new content!

Why use Nightingale Armor? You lose a Head enchant because you don't use Illusion.

    >Implying I use Enchanting

In case you didn't know the Nightingale set has a set bonus on top of what you get from the Light Armor perk. While the Guildmaster's Armor does have better base stats, the Nightingale's Armor Rating will be slightly better when it's all equipped.

    Bumpity bump bump!

Well, I figured that it was time to give this build I posted on the 2nd of December last year a bit of a makeover

Updated the skill section and perk spread, added stat distribution, equipment notes, a brief roleplay section, a section on how Dawnguard affects options for the Stalker, some special abilities the Stalker is capable of pulling off, and some more detailed notes on combat. Hopefully it's a little clearer than it was before!

Cool build, I like. By the way wouldn't the shrouded gauntlets be nice to add and is it possible to imply a daedras will by like having Dawnbreaker and dagger or MoMB (Mace of Molag Bal) in the right and an unenchanted whatever dagger in the other hand. Also why the unenchanted bow, Elemental fury does not work on bows. Could You use a crossbow by any chance because unless you have ungliched the loud noise from a crossbow is silent like a bow, its only a tiny bit slower than a bow. Consider?

I'm in awe of your razor-sharp wit, Ben.

Shrouded gauntlets aren't really necessary, you get a 1h damage boost from the Nightingale gloves, and you do more than enough damage with a dagger sneak attack already.

I decree you're completely forbidden from using any and all Daedric artifacts on this character. But seriously? What do you think?

I used an unenchanted bow because I was playing on a lower difficulty back then (I retired this character well before the start of this year), I had no points in enchanting, and hadn't found a decent enchanted Ebony bow yet anyway. I wasn't a fan of the Nightingale bow due to it's high cost/shot.

You're absolutely not allowed to use a crossbow.
Just kidding, you can if you like. My vision for this character was really with a bow, while a crossbow would certainly work with it's inherent stagger chance and all that I'd probably recommend a bow, the loud firing sound of the crossbow seems a tad ridiculous on a mostly stealth-oriented build.

Ben, the paladin and the priest have smithing in it.
